what do you think of my landing pages?

HI Guys

Can I get some brutal critique on my landing pages ?
no need for diplomacy

if they are terrible can you produce and example of one I should try to replicate that has worked for you

I dont think I really need to catch email addresses with this type of product?

Also IM about to start promoit a fat loss ebook on click bank what is the best way of capturing their emails should I have a full page they go to or a little pop up offering a free report of something?

Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac with Clean Surge

Melissa & Doug Deluxe Standing Easel

thanks a lot

    Hey

Your landing pages are great, sufficient content. I think you can work on the background colors a little though. Also, just capture so that you can tell them about promotions on other electronics (with your affiliate link of course).

When capturing emails for weight loss, make a squeeze page (roughly same length of content as you landing pages) offering a free report, and having a popup increases the number of subscribers as well.

    Hope this helps

I think you have great content but the design is definitely lacking.

Honestly, if I were doing a search for one of these products and clicked on your link I would close the site immediately. Update the design and I think you have a definite winner.

  • My only suggestion would be to make ALL of the pictures clickable. I didn't even notice the Amazon.com link off to the left and was confused when it seemed that the only way to get to the product was to click on the text at the bottom of the article (and below the fold).

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy, and good with ketchup.

The key to review sites is call to action. One of the best things I've learned in the last year is to tell them what you want them to do with a strong call to action. I learned it through the IPK course and it's gotten me to getting Amazon payments for the first time ever.

what she said. All pictures clickible.

Make the header Clickible. Put anchor links in the text that are clickible.

Put a big (clickible Call to Action above the Fold too.

and then again at the bottom of the page.

    Actually its not bad.

Agree it needs more obvious links to product order page. The review itself seems honest and believeable - not like most phony review sites that are just shills. You may almost be too negative a bit about the steam vac, but its a serious looking site overall. These kind of sites do not need to be flashy, imo.

The landing page for the easel had a totally different video play when I opened the page (which I couldn't stop).

After that video finished, the correct video high lighting the easel started.

If I were a customer I would have left.

Other than that the pages are clean and as previously stated, make the pictures clickable.

It is if it plays an unrelated video. The actual video fro the product was good. What would make it better is if you had a video where you could highlight the strengths of the product.

Great and useful content and nice overall design. I agree with making all of the images clickable - that will increase your conversion rate. I would also work on better colors - not sure what would work better but it need to 'pop' a little more. As far as the video, I agree with illustrating the product strengths more as well and maybe a voice-over with the music.
Nice job - I know how much effort you've put into this!

Yeah, the background color is not doing anything for me.

Also I don't like the color of the headline text (forest green)... I think black would be better.

Also, it does sound like a not so good steamer/cleaner.... made me think, "there's got to be a better alternative". I think what you put in bullets #s1 and 2 would be fine somewhere in the middle. Start positive, then tell your tips and real world experience/comments in the middle, then finish with a strong statement as to why one should by this product.

With regards to the easel... all looks good (except the color - see above) and I personally didn't like the music from the video (but it could just be me)

    Hope this helps!
