Successful sites/companies provide something that people wants. Period. Such as Spotify, skype, reddit, 9gag, wikipedia, pinterest, instagram, paypal, adult, dating etc. (notice that they have many regular users)

I'm a developer and I want to do build a site that provides something that people wants.

Maybe by not reinventing the wheel and creating something better than a competitor. Doesn't matter.

However, I failed to figure out what I am going to build next because I lack ideas in terms of followings

1. Something that people wants / that people will want to use it again (most important)
2. Lower entrance barrier
3. Large market

So can you help me to find some ideas?

I'm sure there are many people here who will appreciate this thread. So don't hesitate to contribute.

There are many things that people wants.

Also I believe that Travel and Hi-tech gadgets has the 1st position of all.

But this is me. Everyone has an opinion and I respect that.

Look for the latest genres that may have some longevity, no point in building something on a trend that will not be around next month.

So you're basically asking us to come up with the next big thing for you to build and be successful it doesnt add up to me.. why would someone share something like this?

This forum might be one place to look; however, I would do my research using the "search" function to see what kinds of things people are talking about and asking for.

Right off the bat, I would suggest narrowing the field down to the types of things you're capable of creating so you can determine where there is already market demand.

The sites you've mentioned (Spotify, skype, reddit, 9gag, wikipedia, pinterest, instagram, paypal) are some of the biggest and most popular sites on the Internet. Are you realistically going to create something like (or that competes with) these giants?

It probably won't happen by asking on a public forum for other people's best product ideas. Does that make sense?
