Hi everyone, of course I'm new to all this, however I am self employed as subcontractor doing installations. I also do online trading in stock market, also worked for fed.government ten years. Now as I am getting older and hard labor working outside starting to take its toll on my body I would like to diversify my opportunities on making some extra money. I'm not really excited about affiliate marketing, doing surveys, mlm, etc. Is there anything that I can do online or offline to bring in some extra income to play around with in addition to what I'm already making. I know everyone in Warrior Forum knows way more about this than me. I've never had desk job nor do I want one. I enjoy my freedom too much to go and do as I please, I'm just looking to diversify my ways making money, not only for me but for my family. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. I will look at and consider all, Thanks in advance. Mark

    Hey Mark,

    Good post! I'm just off to bed here but I thought I'd kick things off for you. Avoid MLM and surveys. Affiliate marketing on the other hand may be for you in the future; there's more than one way to skin a cat as they say, and likewise quite a few ways to derive income from affiliate programs.

    You could look into these methods:

    - Domain and/ or Website Flipping;
    - List Building (monetize with your own product);
    - Membership Sites
    - Freelance Writing
    - Reselling

    I really don't know you well enough to suggest more, but hey, they may provide you with an idea or two!

    A few great ways to make money is by building a website with a lot of content (100 to 1000+ web pages with quality content), and then work on its SEO to get a lot of traffic (10K+ visits per day) and then monetize the traffic trough adsense of affiliate marketing, which would then turn into passive income.

    A quicker way to make money is by online contracting projects such as web design, content writing, graphic design etc, you can get such projects by bidding on freelancing sites such as elance, odesk, freelancer etc and then outsourcing your work to make a profit.

    You can also get clients by building a website and marketing it to gain a lot of traffic.

    There is a lot of power in outsourcing your marketing as some freelancers are willing to do a ton of marketing work (back link building, social media marketing) etc for a very low cost since many are from countries with low living costs.

    Hey Friend,
    Why don't you start with freelancing? You make money from home itself by working on any field like SEO, affiliate marketing, social media etc.

    I'm a little more awake now.

    Mark, what I'd do is leaf around WF and find a simple method to implement that appeals to you. It doesn't have to be a huge moneymaker. You have a steep learning curve ahead of you and right now I suspect you need the confidence to see that making money is possible. So, key right now: I would advise against an overly ambitious project. Just have fun with something. Don't waste your money on WSOs or e-books or memberships or whatnot.

    Mark,

    You don't really have to get excited about affiliate marketing but once you know the huge potential to earn long term residual income online, you will get very excited.

    The bad thing about being an employee or even an subcontractor, is that once you stop working, your income stops too. With affiliate marketing, once you know what you are doing and are earning enough money every month, you can pretty much leave your subcontractor job and live the internet lifestyle.

    Good post. I know how you feel as I work 12 hours a day & it has started to take a toll on me as well. From what I have found out lately you should find a good hobby, hosting, dating, or video game niche & use adsense, amazon, & clickbank as ways to make money. If you are new at this like I was get somebody to help you build a website & add content 3-4 times a week for the next 6 months in order to build up a steady stream of traffic & build a list with a autoresponder to keep in contact with them after they subscribe to get new posts

      Three to four times per week?!

      Publishing content just on your site isn't a realistic traffic-generation plan at all. The only traffic that's ever going to bring you is a little bit of gradual, eventual search-engine traffic, and as the saying goes "good luck monetizing that!".

      I'm a content marketer, myself, but someone adding content 4 times a week for 6 months is going to have about the same amount of content I'd have on a site after about 3 years. Do you seriously think that's going to help them?? Do you seriously think it's a good use of their time, effort, energy and resouces??? (Or are you just repeating nonsense you've read elsewhere?)

      Why do people who are themselves (by their own admission) just starting off give deeply misguided "advice" like this???

      .

    You are some sort of an installer working outside. Probably either business or homes.

    Start with what you are installing?
    What and why? Then where?

    IF you install in people's homes, there is a CONTACT. People who live in that home who may hold some treasure for you, if you learn how to mine it.

    Same with businesses. IF you can tell us what it is you install, I will give you some specific examples on how you can use your current situation to get the extra income you are looking for, fair enough?
