What are the key selling points of products?

Hi,

I am working with a coupon site, trying to attract SE traffic looking for coupons.

I plan for the landing page being short and sweet. I use icons to draw attention to the main selling points, but I am not sure how many I want to put there, and I am not sure WHAT kind of selling points to put there.

Some have 8 selling points, and some have 4. Depending on the niche, and the product I´ve found that between 4 and 8 are the sweet spot.

In example:

1. Secure payments. 2. 25 different brands. 3. Free shipping. 4. 10.000 customers already served.

and some short and sweet facts under these. Esp for brands, to rank for keywords.

What kind of selling points would you focus on?

Something unconventional always works well, also you'll want to keep the number of items limited less you confuse the potential opt-in.

If I don´t have access to number of clients already served, would it be feasible to list number of facebook followers? This store in particular is huge.

It´s unconventional in the sense that # of followers on social media is not a key selling point itself, but compared to unknown stores with little to no followers, would it not be seen as "They must be popular!" ?

Good relationship is the main key for selling anything. So think about how to build a list and maintain good relationship to your customers. So you can increase your credibility. If possible, serve few customers directly.

@James, I completely forgot about benefits. Thanks!

@Cpaonfire, not sure I´m following you. Unconventional how?

@Himanuzo, definetly. I am not in the process of building a list just yet as I have no idea how to implement it..

I understand from seeing almost every thread getting responses about "list-building" that that´s where the money is, but how do I get people to sign up when I do not have any "freebies" yet?

Customer service is a huge deal for most people. So be sure to emphasize how you will be there for the customer even after the sale is made, if they have questions or need technical assistance. You could set up a free Facebook group where your customers could post their questions about your products. This would be a good selling feature (even before purchase is made) as it ensures the customer they will not be forgotten about once you have their money.

I don't have too much experience in this department, but I like what you have there. Its a great start.

      1. Secure payments.
Why would I be paying for a coupon?
      2
      . 25 different brands.
As long as the brand I am looking for is one of them
      3. Free shipping.
      Shipping What? Coupons
      4.
      10.000 customers already served.
Personally, I do not care. And, in the internet world, 10,000 is nothing
