Lead generation and call tracking

I want to generate leads to a client, it's a small business, they charge a few thousands for their services. Only a few people contact them in a month and all of the customers call them instead of emailing (and it's completely OK). I want to use 1-2 landing pages to generate 10+ extra leads to them per month. The landing page won't contain any forms or email address, it will only contain a phone number (and the info of the service).

I looked around for call tracking systems to be able to see if they were called via the number that is on the landing page and have a proof of the call and its relevancy to the business (e.g.: recording the first 1-2 minutes of the first call). I'm not interested in how long the conversation lasts, how many times they are called by that customer, etc.. My client is not interested in tracking/recording the phone calls either.
They usually have long conversations with their customers via the phone.
My biggest problem with the call tracking systems I found that they additionally charge per minutes. That would be an unpredictable extra cost for me (as my client wouldn't pay for it). I only want to record/track the first 1-2 minutes of the first call as a proof.

Do you any tracking tools that would solve my problem?
If not, how could I keep track and have a proof of the leads I generate (with predictable costs)?

Not sure where you were looking, but 'callrail' looks alright (first website I visited after a google search):
CallRail Call Tracking Pricing & Sign Up | Call Tracking and Analytics

500 minutes/month, campaign & keyword tracking. Dynamic numbers... Looks pretty badass for just $30/month.

10 leads should not surpass your 500 minute threshold either.

I think most PPCall networks use LogMyCalls (though I can't be certain):
Free Call Tracking - Free Toll Free Number| LogMyCalls

They're a bit more expensive, but also seem to fit your criteria.

You also mentioned the customers have "long calls with your client". A way to circumvent this is to 'give them a personal business number' (your clients phone number) after they become an actual customer.

Just trying to help - even though I know very little about call tracking in general.

    Cheers

The only thing I can think of right now is to maybe do use a live call transfer system - or maybe have the prospect call into a voicemail number you set-up and then the voicemail can walk them through qualifying prompts that they have to enter or speak to confirm. And then after they went through that qualifier, at the end of the voicemail you could provide the telephone number for them to call the business directly. I don't know this is just something I rigged up in my mind.

  • Istvanbujdoso,

Phone.Com has call recording functions and caller analytics (among other features) at these prices -- For call recording, it's $4.95 / month for 300 minutes (plus $0.03 overage) and $14.95 / month for 1,000 minutes (plus $0.02 overage), while for caller analytics, it's a free 60-day trial then $2 / month after the trial; and

I think Phone.Com can help you set your account to just record the first minute or first 2 minutes of each call -- Ask them. Also:

If these are local UK leads, then you can get a UK national number from Phone.Com, forward all calls to their business number through your account's admin dashboard in Phone.Com, use this UK national number in your landing pages, and track caller analytics using your account's admin dashboard in Phone.Com -- You can set your account to notify you via email each time someone calls your number...

The reason we all use duration as a conversion pixel is because clients lie about the amount of conversions we generate.

The Pay-Per-Call industry standard is Invoca Invoca | Call Tracking & Analytics - 1-888-989-4996 Invoca

Call tracking has been around for quite some years now although many companies are still hanging on to using it. It allows companies to add phone numbers to specific online or offline marketing campaigns and utilize them to their needs so that they can accurately track calls, evaluate the effectiveness of their campaigns in real time and make informed decisions to maximize ROI. Ringostat, which helps businesses optimize their revenue generation through call analytics and automation, currently offers a one year free start-up program for start-up techs. https://ringostat.com/en/for-startups
