Buying products and reviewing them on hub pages with targeted keywords?

I tried a variation of it a couple of years ago. Then hubpages changed their TOS and removed all my content which was just beginning to get a lot of targeted traffic.

Moral of that story is don't post original content to other people's property. Of course there are exceptions to that, big ones in fact, when it comes to article syndication.

People will take you more seriously if you have your own domain and hosting.

i agree, never be at someone's mercy. always own your own domain names and websites.
even better, make sure you start a list so you will have value and an asset

Buying products and reviewing them on your own website is an effective business model. Amplify this with a video review as well as an article review.

However, you don't usually have ot buy the products, you can contact the vendors and get free samples {if tangible} or review copies/access if they are digital products.

I knew a few people who use to do this a couple years back along with squido before both of them made changes.
