Probably a really dumb wordpress question (display all posts on one page?)

Hey guys,

This is probably something really obvious, but I've been trying to figure out a way to display my posts in an orderly fashion on a single page of my website. At the moment, they're all bunched up in the sidebar and I'm sure this is taking good SEO juice off the home page and spreading it around too much.

A way to include the featured image and a small description would also be very nice.

    If the articles are bunched in the sidebar then something is seriously wrong with the way you built your site.

    Unless you mean the article links are listed in the sidebar.

    There is a checkbox in your WP Dashboard under settings (not sure if it is reading or writing or general) where you can check a selection box to show summaries or show full articles on the front page.

    You should check the theme you are using too. Some themes have layouts that override or are not conducive to the WP full/summary display options.

    You can also create a static home page and then a page for posts (like "blog" or "posts") and then set that (in WP Settings) to be the page your posts appear on.

    The featured image and the way summaries are displayed is usually determined by the theme.

    By default, wordpress usually displays latest posts on the homepage unless you or your theme has changed the default... you can also link a menu item to the blog "category" of your choice which will display all the posts in that category in the way you require...

    No, I mean I have a plugin that displays all the links to my articles in the sidebar. It's got a thumbnail and a small description -- but what I would like to do is reduce the number of articles in the sidebar, and just just a link to page that has ALL the blog posts/articles on it. Like an archive, but not organized by date - just all the content of one or several categories displayed nicely

      Cut,

      there are about 2 ways to do this. Create a image that says click here for a complete list of blog post. Insert the image in your side bar and link it to a page that you have created that has your blog posts listed out.

      OR

      use a text link "See ALL Blog Posts" thatdoes the same as above and links to a page that has your blog posts listed.

    I just created a menu tab called "Article Index". On that page I have all my articles listed by title only in various categories to make it easy for visitors to find what they want. It has become a very visited page over the years. The titles are linked to the articles of course.

    Thanks savidge and Janice. I am assuming you mean I would have to manually insert each post into the page as they're created. It seems like such a simple thing that should have a tool that does this.

    Does anyone know of a plugin that can accomplish what I'm trying to do so I don't have to manually create each link ever time I publish an article?
