Hosting WSO video course in a secure place?

Hey

I am creating a WSO video course.

I'm worried about hackers etc who rip different guides and share them for free.

Any ideas on how I can upload my video course so that only people who purchase my WSO get it?

Youtube is ofcourse not an option... The link can be shared and everybody who has the links could watch it...

So... Any ideas?

There was another thread like this, but I didn't want to hijack his thread with my security issues.

Thanks,

MeelisM

    Hi MeelisM,

To be honest, anyone who purchases your content WILL be able to share your content digitally. There's no 100% fool proof method.

All you can do is do your best to secure your content and that's it.

Instead of spending your efforts in focusing on security, focus on delivering such great value such that even hackers will be persuaded to purchase future content from you.

Good idea! Making great content will make more people purchase content from me in the future.

But any tips on where to host and how?

      Thanks,

Like Kelvin says, once a digital file has been downloaded, there's nothing to to stop it being shared; however, this doesn't happen as often as you think. Sure, every so often a download link will appear on a black hat forum somewhere, or a zip file will show up on a sharing site, but it's the exception rather than the rule.

As it see it, there are two ways of protecting your download and I've used them both successfully in the past.
    1. Sell your WSO via JVZoo. They'll host the files for you, and their security is pretty tight.
    2. Host your videos on Amazon S3 and have access to them via a password protected part of your site. Send purchasers the password and download link when they buy. If you use WP and a plug-in like s2member, customers can choose a unique password, and you can disable it if too many people log on or you find it's being shared online.
Either way, I always set up a Google Alert for my product's title, so if it starts showing up on "black hat" sites, I'll know about it.

I think you can use Google Hangout to host your video securely ,i recently read it in a WSO .

That you can link it to JVzoo ,only person buying your product will get access to that video.

      Thanks

Jvzoo seems nice, but the problem is I want to host my WSO with warriorplus.

I can't upload my wso with warriorplus and host it on JVzoo, or can I?

    Thanks,

      Thanks for thanks

Are you sure you will be using Warriorplus to host your product, remeber it is different from Warrior payment (I think you are confused by terms.)

I am not advocating JVzoo ,but you can try it for your WSO .If you need help i will surely help you .

      Thanks

You can host your non-YouTube embedded videos in a WishList member site.

Another idea is to create a membership site and get Vimeo Pro to host the videos securely.

Vimeo pro lets you choose a specific domain where it will let you set a domain where the video is displayed on. The video wouldn't be accessible anywhere else.

If people want to share your stuff they will find a way to do it. Example, they can just download the video and upload to some sharing sides. If the download does not work they can record the screen.

I use Amazon S3 for video hosting.

    Cheers,

    C.G.

You could try hosting the videos yourself and using the wordpress plugin called S2Member to keep them secure. S2Member has a secure login which is pretty tight and a secure upload folder for content like this.

        Sounds cool.

So you can't just share the video link with others or download the video?

        Thanks,
