How to promote Fine Art products?

Hey warriors,
I'm wondering how could I -as affiliate marketer- promote Fine Art products?
To be clear, how could I find targeted customers for the works I'm promoting? via Search Engines with specific keywords, or images sharing based social networks like Pinterest and Instagram?

P.S: Prices of fine art works I'm promoting are above 5K $ per item.

Isn't there any one who could help with such question?

    cheaba,

With that kind of price tag, you REALLY need to target. Pinterest will get you traffic, but probably not buyers. I would suggest focusing on writing the hell out of some articles about the image style. Modern, contemporary, photorealism, realism etc. I then would target the artist specifically, and then the works of art specifically.

I don't know how "into" art you are.. but it may behoove you to attend some gallery showings and listen in on the language used and get a sense of the style etc. Since art is "Visual" your page needs to display those images in much the same way they are displayed in galleries.

    I hope that helps!

    eBay, forums, facebook...

You can search forums that related your niche.

Because of the high price, consider escrow.com service if you don't meet the potential buyer directly so the potential buyer is more convinced.

To get targeted customers, First establish who your ideal customers are and the terms they use when searching for fine arts online. A market and keyword research should help here.

I'm here looking at Google's keyword planner and it seems there are many long tail searches related to fine arts.

Do you have a website/blog/landing pages for the products you are promoting or are do you intend to send traffic direct to the merchant's sales page?

If I were you, I'd set up a website and target these searchers. The website should allow you to engage people in the art, talk about the art products and the fine art industry in general, and build yourself as an authority.

You can then link to the merchant from your website/blog. Sharing on social networks is also good for boosting your promotions and getting people to your website. A friend of mine, for instance, makes a decent amount using his facebook page about art paintings.

    Hope this helps.

There is a market online for that. I know because I used to deal a bit in vintage movie posters, and there was no shortage of affluent buyers on eBay.

But as an affiliate, I'd be thinking in terms of a little site that has the potential to go viral. Kinda like a thisiswhyimbroke.com for high ticket items. You should know a bit about what you're selling if you really want to succeed, otherwise it'll be tough to write captivating descriptions or gain any traction in the community.

It seems to me that "expensive fine art" is a fundamentally different market from many others online, from the marketer's perspective.

The general principle of most online marketing seems to involve "getting the traffic to visit what you're selling". I don't think that's so, in the same way, for expensive fine art: the general principle is that you need to take the art to where the traffic is already looking.

This "key concept" seems, to me, to differentiate this type of product from many others.

(I'm an artist but I don't sell my work online at all - however, I know many others who do, some of them very successfully, and this is what they all tell me about the industry. It's different from "most internet marketing".)

    Hi Cheaba
You have already gotten some sound advice from others above.
The main rule in this is to identify the merket for this and then absolutely build a blog featuring the products and write as much about this as possible. Take part in conversations on related groups nott promoting but having a link to your blog in your profile. You could offer those as gift ideas to those looking for gift ideas. You write an ebook on this art methood and give it away with the link to your blog in it and capture the email adress of those downloading the ebook to your list.
    Best of luck to you.
