Looking for some feedback on my website.

Hi guys.

Hope everyone is well and having a productive day?

I would really appreciate it if some of you guys could please offer some feedback on my new website that I am launching today. It's for my new design service business called Buzzworks. I have been offering my services as a freelancer for many years now with some success so I decided to launch my own business as in my experience, selling services offers better results for myself. I would also appreciate some feedback on the blog post I created on there as well as it's my first time bloging so would appreciate any feedback you may have on that as well.

Here is the link. Buzzworks Design | The agency with the complete solution for your business | Web design, logo and branding, online and offline marketing, brochure design specialists.

By the way this post is not intended to promote my services, I am simply looking for some feedback from you all on the site itself.

Many thanks in advance.

I think the site looks great.

Here are some suggestions I can think of.

1st, make your title a lot smaller, it doesn't even fit into a website browser, no need for a description here, just "Buzzworks Design | The agency with the complete solution for your business" would be perfect. Some would say that, that too, is far too long. I understand you may be trying to keyword stuff, but I don't think having that many words will help with any kind of search engine ranking.

    2. Definitely put a picture of yourself in the about section, people like to deal with people and something as simple as having a picture of the person that will be doing the work makes you a lot more approachable to a lot of people.

    3. Phone number on contact page and possibly in header? I hate the idea of someone calling me to be honest, but I think in your profession it could lead to a lot more clients.

Hope these ideas help. Great work on the site!

I just loaded it up on my iphone and it doesn't seem to be very user friendly.

I had to zoom out to realise the content was pushed off screen to the right. The header and footer were not inline with the actual content.

I'm not going to say what I liked cause that's not really going to help.

          Hey,
The Site looks really nice. Very professional.

You definitely need an Optin box where visitors could maybe join a newsletter for special promotions, tips, expert guides etc...

I'm no design expert, so take my thoughts with a fair degree of dismissiveness.

              1. Generally looks strong, bright and clean. Like the font and minimalist style.

              2. But that is a lot of orange. I think one more colour would add depth to the design?

              3. I'd put (some of the) portfolio front and centre on the homepage, just because visitors can bounce fast. Show off your best work, and people will be clicking for the pricing button (or services, in this case!)

This is really good feedback and I will certainly take this on board and look at incorporating it into the site. As far as the colour goes, this was also one of my concerns having looked at it for a long time. I may look into adding something else. Only problem is finding another colour to add to orange?

I have rectified both points you raised so thanks for letting me know. Stylesheet issue.

My concern when visiting the site was that there wasn't a clear call to action. Do you want me to click on the slides? On the contact button in the upper right corner? What is the ideal funnel you want your visitors to follow? I would consider some sort of call to action, preferably something now in orange.

I like it that you have a lot of white space and your font is clear and easy to read. I like the orange color. Some of your links don't go where they say they are going to go and you've got some typos but those are at the end of the list of edits.

Overall it is gives the impression of cheeriness not stodginess, whcih is good, but professional at the same time.

On the front page, even though the wording says "Take a look at" it is hard to know that the sentence that comes after those words are a link. Would you consider hyperlinking the icon and the first words of the sentence (Take a Look) and setting them in a blue color, maybe underlining. Not to mess with your design but just to make it easy for visitors to know what to do?

Not messing with anything at all, what you said makes perfect sense and I will certainly look at implementing it into the design today. Thank you very much for your input. Much appreciated.

Site is looking Simple but good.

I would like to suggest following points to include in your website.

    a) Live chat can be implemented to do not miss your clients any time.
    b) Portifolio and Testimonial can be implemented in the home Page itself. So that people can be attracted by seeing that.
And Social media links has to be given correctly.
Call for Action has to be Added.
For Ex: Numbers, Lead Form Etc.

I have added the chat functionality into the site which to be honest, was something I didn't even contemplate so I thank you for this suggestion. This will improve the functionality of the site dramatically.

Hi, your site looks good but just a couple of pointers for you . I'd put all the social media tabs on the top of the page it just save people looking for them which a lot of the times they wont so put them in their face . I would also put a photo of yourself in the contact section it just makes it more personal. More and more, video is being used on websites because people are getting lazy to read so more use of video is a suggestion too .

  • Hmm... Nice looking website.

I spent years in the web design business.

To make it work for you, You should have your page focus on a call to action (email form) that offers the solution to your target customers greatest need or challenge they are having and that also shows them proof or example of your work (or your template)

example: a button in your slideshow to an email optin form or the optin email form in the top left or right that shouts "Get a free quote on a Design that (provides the solution)" just enter your email address in the form.

Also display your telephone number in the top right corner, They will email before they will call but the phone number will build trust and resemble a location.

Drive traffic > to your call to action > follow up with email that shows example of your work > and follow up with phone calls to close the deal

Unless you already have a never ending source of clients to tap into.

    Well done anyways.

Your site looks very professional. Only thing that I don't like is the pukey orange...whenever I see that color, it turns me off. Is there another more pleasant color that you can use with the same theme on your site builder?

Nice looking website with complete professional touch.

Only one thing i found missing is valid contact details ,so if you are real in business ,people must know your physical address and contact number too.

I hope you will add them soon

      Happy business to you..

Good post. I also like the design of the site. Just needs a little work on the logo, (I was thinking add a dark gray to the buzzsaw part) kind of like precision right? Add a photo of your self, staff, or building to show people who they have working for them. Add a number they can reach you at as well. Maybe have a featured item or buy 2 get 1 free kind of deal to get more sales. Keep up the good work though

Congratulations on starting your own business! I wish you tons of success and massive profits.

I agree with the too much orange. It's overwhelming to me. It's not just the orange on the site, it's orange for headers, orange for boxes, orange for call to action buttons etc.

Please don't be upset, but I don't think all one color like that is "exciting" to me when I'm looking for a designer. I would want to see something more creative. Then again, design and what one likes or doesn't is personal.

I like your site...its clean and communicates your message well. I do agree...its alot of Orange. My biggest suggestion is to tone down the color...you dont have to abandon the theme, but perhaps play around with different options. Maybe even "mock up" a few options and poll your fellow warriors as to the one that is most visually appealing.

You only have a few seconds to capture someones intrest...it does matter.

    Cheers,

OK guys. I have had a rethink on it all and had a play with the sites theme and amended it from the suggestions you made which may I say are greatly appreciated!

Would love some feedback on the new hopefully improved website now please if possible?

BTW - I am producing a video for the front page which will be displayed with a nice big call to action button as suggested. This should be implemented over the weekend.

    Thanks guys!

Good job You definitely got the vibrancy going, the white with the orange contrasts nicely and stands out. I would suggest try mixing up the colors on things like the titles on the slider images, menu tab highlights, icons, etc... the little things can make all the difference.

    Best of luck!

    Hi,

Looks like a change in the right direction. You still have the orange you like but having the headers and other elements not orange makes it much easier to read. My eye is not jumping around nearly as much from one bright area to another.
