If you can drive traffic from twitter or fb or other which most of your fan or follower come from US/UK ,then 5000 page view might achieve that

I think he will need much more than that.

It also depends on the niche of your site and from what countries you receive the most traffic. But, to be paid that amount only for views, I guess you will need a very large amount of traffic.

It's hard to estimate, but here are some extrapolations from my data.

My Adsense sites have had 1% to 10% clickthroughs. At $0.50 per click, that would mean every 100 page views would earn you $0.50 to $5.00.

By that estimate, you'd need ($100/$0.50)*100 = 20,000 to ($100/$5)*100 = 2,000 page views to hit your target of $100 a day (and half of that to earn $50/day)

Of course, if your payout per click is lesser, it would require more pageviews, and vice versa.

Actually Adsense also pays on a CPM basis, so you don't necessarily need to have clicks in order to make money.

However, you would need millions of pageviews in order to make a substantial amount of money, because the CPM is really low.

The amount of clicks required mainly depends on the niche.

For example, if you have a site that focuses on car insurance, and the visitors are people who are looking to buy car insurance and the ads show advertisements for car insurance plans then the pay to your per click would be substantially higher than if someone clicks an ad about buying a health magazine.

The cost per click for advertisers for keywords related to car insurance quote range between, on average, $30 to $60. So since - according to Googles blogspot blog post on 2010 at Inside AdSense: The AdSense revenue share - you would earn 51%, from each click you would earn on average between $15 to $30. So to earn $100 you would need approximately from 4 to 7 clicks.

However, to get search traffic from car insurance related keywords is difficult because of competitiveness.

Adsense also introduces 'smart pricing' after they have enough data from your account. Smart pricing factors in the user behavior after the click as a means of assessing the quality of the clicks and they will adjust the revenue/click accordingly. It's all very complicated.

    To earn $100/day with Adsense...

Based on my experience, average CTR (click through rate) is 3% and average EPC (earning per click) is $0.2 for English language if you don't target high paying keywords.

    $100/day / EPC $0.2 = 500 clicks / day

    500 clicks/day / CTR 3% = 16,667 visitors / day

You need around 16,667 visitors per day for making money $100/day with Adsense.
