How much should I charge for 100 word article to be converted to Nepali or Hindi language from English.
Its little bit hard to type Hindi and Nepali than English words because anywhere online we use English language.

I would look at getting involved over at Fiverr. You will earn around $4.00 for every job you complete (the company charges $5.50 and skims from the top but provide you a solid platform to acquire clients)

You could charge people more than 1 gig per job and thus earn more, but that really just comes down to supply and demand and what you feel you can get away with lol. Good luck!

It depends on your personal cost. Where in UK, US. you can charge $2.50 for 100 words. In India cost is less then I think you can charge $1 per 100 words.

I would you suggest you charge $1-$2 per 100 words. I don't hink it would take that long to translate an article so that would be a fair price for small jobs like that.

In a free market economy, you charge what the market will support. Of course, that requires that you know what the market demand and supply for that exact service is at the moment.

Do your homework. Find others that are offering the same service and try to determine what they are charging.

If you can't find a similar service provider, either you have a gold mine or a business failure waiting to happen . . . depending, of course, upon how much demand there is for that service.

So often professionals undervalue their time. If you are a professional, and provide professional service, charge as a professional would.

    Good luck to you,

    Steve

I'll suggest a counter-intuitive approach... try and figure out what the translated piece is worth TO the client - and charge a reasonable rate based on that.

For instance, if it takes you an hour to do the translation, you could price by your per-hour rate. But if that translated piece is so important to the client's business that it's worth $500, you're probably shortchanging yourself.

There's a lovely book on negotiating that I once read by Roger Dawson (found the link for you on Kindle, it's below) which advised against naming your price first, and trying to get the other person to make the first offer - so you have an idea what it's worth to them!

Amazon.com: Secrets of Power Negotiating: 15th...Amazon.com: Secrets of Power Negotiating: 15th... (the Kindle edition costs less than a dollar!)

    Hope this helps.
