Found the company name under a Dutch website, and sent them an email.
Next day I was in the plane, I wanted to see the office for real.

I pay now for a complete team of Developers, designers, linguist and marketers less as for one PHP developer in Holland. And that is incl. the office I rent in the center of Kyiv.
For my own apartment I pay 200$ a month and to fly up and down the same.

    It's essential for me.

I have a pretty simple system.

    1. Develop a Method.
    2. Optimize it for Efficiency.
    3. Outsource the Operation.

I usually do steps (1) and (2) entirely on my own, although I'll sometimes have to resort to specialists in a particular area, or where necessary farm out entire chucks to certain entities, and then when the operation is humming along quite nicely, I'll outsource.

I do, now. I did, a little bit, even when I started, which was a huge mistake. What you outsource, you don't learn how to do yourself. And outsourcing has its own skill-set (often underemphasised and underappreciated). For very many reasons (some obvious and some unpredictable) it tends to be very much easier to outsource things you do know how to do yourself than things you don't.

Agree with everything, especially the portion in bold. Example: web design. I cut my teeth by doing web design for hotels back two decades ago. When I hire someone, I know what I want, how to ask for what I want, and I know what I should get. Now, in some areas of the business, I'm a total neophyte; software development, for instance. I understand some very basic principles of software coding, but not enough to organize outsourcing as well as I can with web design.

I generally outsource work that I am not great at. I realize that I am loosing an opportunity to gain new skills, but often there just is no time to to learn it, the work needs to be done fast.

I would agree with Alexa, it is much easier outsourcing something that you know how to do yourself.

But outsourcing is also good for getting things done that you DONT know how to do, or dont have time to do.

Personally - I'm a busy person, so I dont want to spend hours or days trying to get something done when I can get someone to do it for me, if it frees up some time.

I haven't ever outsourced but I think that's because I wasn't doing any marketing myself and was instead the guy people outsourced web and software work to. Its only recently that I am getting into marketing myself and I don't think I will be outsourcing for a while. For multiple reasons but mostly I can't justify the (admittedly cheap) cost when I have the time and skill to do most of it and the commitment to learn for the things I don't have the skills for.

Although once I am more established I will definitely outsource more.

i use freelancer.com all the time. I got a great logo for one of my sites for $30. The guy did 5 cartoon logos and i chose one.
Once you build up some income, you can hire freelancers to work full time. It is difficult to find reliable people, but i work with freelancers over email for one type of web business and it work out great. I found hard working, reliable people that respond to all of my emails in 15 min to an hour.

In order to grow as a business owner you have to outsource. You shouldn't have to focus on everything, you should place your focus on the main things and outsource the rest.

I like to add people to my staff for jobs such as web writing and blogging, in that way I can control the quality of what they are producing. I don't 'outsource' those jobs to random people online as I don't really have a history with those people and can't be assured they will do a good job to my standards. As for jobs that I don't want to do or don't have technical know how to do,then I don't mind hiring an expert to help me out.

Outsourcing is key if you want to free up your time - and build a business that you can scale.

People do it for different reasons - to free up their time, to focus on the the stuff they are best at etc.

I've found from personal experience with outsourcing that - before you delegate any tasks, it is in your best interest to have a system set up in place that actually WORKS and produces results (depending on what it is that you want outsourced).

That way you don't waste any of your own time or your VA's time (for example).

    Hope this helps bro!

Love to outsource the things I don't want to do.

I know how to do most things I outsource but they're not worth doing myself.
My time is better spent working on other aspects of my business.

Some things like graphic design I don't even attempt to do anymore.
Find a professional and get them to do it.

Once you find good outsources...keep them.
It can take some time to find really great people, but they are out there.

Of course, why not? It is the easiest way to find good expert worker than any others way. Most of the freelancer are professional. I have been using the Outsourcing options for a long time. because they work at a cheap rate with quality job. I have been using using one freelancing site only.

I do as much of my own work that I possibly can then outsource on top of that to websites such as Fiverr.

For the type of work that I'm involved with, nothing beats the creativity and TLC that I can bring to the table. With that being said, I am only one man so in that way I am limited.

You've heard of the old saying "give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Feed a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime."

Well, what I've done is teach many people in my down line (under me) to fish, so that indirectly I am fed on their fishing efforts. I hope that make sense.
