Facebook Emails

Hi all,

Is it possible to create a FB Custom Audience and create FB Ads using emails from Facebook like: name@facebook.com ?

Is it according to Facebook norms? Is there a risk to have the account banned

    Yes, you can create a custom audience by importing email addresses. When you do that, Facebook will attempt to match up the email address with an account so it will depend on how the user setup their account.

    As far as risk...as long as you're not using a scraper, you should be ok.

    Facebook frowns upon scrapers now so definitely don't use them anymore.

    I use my email list on GetResponse to re-target my audience using Facebook all the time.

    These mostly aren't FB email addresses though.

    I've never attempted using FB email addresses, but I would have to assume that there is some risk involved.

    If I was in FB's shoes and I saw somebody using a list of 100 FB emails as a custom audience, I would assume that they were scraped.

    I personally wouldn't risk my account over it.
