How You Are Losing Sales With $19.95 WSO Bumps ... And How To Fix It!

Hi Warriors,

I just took 3 fresh screenshots of the WSO forum.

Each with a different display option near the bottom.

Specifically for the "From The" setting ...
1) Beginning
2) Last Month (i.e. Last 30 Days)
3) Last Week

Here are the screenshots as follows:

1) From The "Beginning"

Notice the circled thread "Unlimited Success" disappears off in the 2nd screenshot below?

2) From The "Last Month"

Now notice the 4 circled threads disappear off in the 3rd screenshot? Also, notice the position of where the thread on "Unlimited Success" would be in the original setting of "From The Beginning"?

And finally ... what follows is the screenshot with the display option of "From Last Week".

3) From The "Last Week"

With all these shown, what am I alluding to?

Those that are bumping their WSO threads will either NOT have their threads shown or will have their threads less viewed to members (and visitors) with each successive "From The" display option and that's a real pity.

Here's the solution I'm suggesting ...

Instead of bumping WSO threads, create a new WSO thread and either port the relevant content (assuming it's the same offer you're promoting) into it or have a brief writeup to redirect readers to the original WSO thread you have.

This way you still get to show all your new prospects the good feedback and testimonials you've received from your labour.

P.S. The only exceptions seem to be WSO threads that were created a long time ago (probably through an incongruent import / export date / backend setting).

What are your thoughts on this?

I never even noticed there's an option to alter settings of how it's shown, most people don't I guess.

I've noticed it before but was hardly mindful of it and when I bumped a WSO of mine, I couldn't see it.

That's when I realized it and decided to share with all of you.

It impacts things greatly when you're missing out on all the eyeballs of those who set their settings to only "Last Week" (is that the forum default?).

True story (cos I experienced it for myself).

        Default is from the "Beginning"

Most of my sales come from people that are not a member, Alexa lately pointed out that most of the visitors here are guests so they still see my ads so for me it won't matter much I guess.

You could add a voting option to your original post, asking people whether they change this setting or not. That could show the real impact this has, I suspect very little but obviously I could be wrong.

Right now we have: 1496 members and 11047 guests

So only 15 percent of the total visitors could be affected by this so if 10 percent changed their settings it's only 1.5 percent of all visitors that don't see your add, which makes it quite insignificant, especially when you add the fact that multi page threads convert better then brand new threads with just a few post. Not to mention that not everyone will click through to your main sales thread, balance that vs the 85 percent guests that don't deal with the issue of not seeing your thread and how much conversions go lost on them from one thread to the other and it might work against you to keep creating new threads. Either way I'm not much of a fan of this as members will run into my new services anyway as I'm an active poster and sig links probably won't go unnoticed.

If the numbers differ greatly (eg more then half of the members changed their settings) I definitely start considering your advice, as my new to launch services are very useful for the members on this forum so in that case it might be beneficial.

Thanks anyway, I browse the for sales threads quite a bit as I'm always curious about new stuff so I will change the settings for myself now

Oh btw, I just set it to starting from "last week" and expected to only see threads started from last week but that's not the case.

It only shows threads where new posts have been made in the last week.

So instead of creating new sales threads non stop it would be better to just post an update post once a week in your existing sales thread.

Anyway this makes the whole function utterly useless for me, cause why would I care if someone left a post in whatever thread in the last 7 days.
