Steps In Viral Marketing?

INTERNET MARKETING

I am interested to do viral marketing to promote my product, but I am new in it. Here is the steps I planned:

Find a community.
Understand what users want.
Prepare them what they want.
Setup a viral delivery system.
Give them the stuff/ service through the viral delivery system.

Please help me if there are missing or unnecessary steps in my plan.. And would someone suggest me what will be the best way to do each step above...?
