Best & cheapest way to find affiliates

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and new to selling online. I sell oil paintings and am interested in getting affiliates to sell my products. My problem is I don't know where to find the affiliates and I don't have a large budget . Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Kindest,

Anne D.

    Hi Anne,

Here's what I'd do in your shoes:

First, find products or programs related to the art world which also have affiliate programs. Make a note of the name of the program. (You could start by checking Clickbank and JVZoo marketplaces, but there may well be other more specialised companies selling art related products that I don't know about.)

Then, do a Google search for "the name of the product" + review. The reviewers will almost certainly be affiliates of whichever program you searched for. If they've done a decent job, like posting up a video or a well written blog post about it, so much the better. These people are serious about their affiliate marketing.

Then email those people. (You can generally find their contact details not far away, or you'll catch up with many of them on Facebook. If you absolutely can't find their contact details, just move on to the next one.)

Tell them you have oil paintings for sale and you've seen them promoting XYZ art related product, and would they be open to discussing promoting your paintings to their list?

(I like the phrase "open to discussing" - it's not pushy and almost everyone likes to think of themselves as "open" - so there's a little ninja tip for you!)

Rinse and repeat! Find 5 to 10 people a day, and you'll soon have plenty of interested parties.

    And the budget for this?

    Zero!

    Hope that helps.

    Trevor.

I would do a few google searches, and contact site owners! Their sites are already ranked, so chances are they've already established themselves and they can really help. Just contact them and tell them about your offer, what commission percentage your giving, etc. It works really well!

    Cheers,

Have you thought about looking into Etsy? Get in touch with a few sellers there that already have a fan base and let them post the paintings for you? Don't know if it will work but worth looking into.
