I've seen it mentioned in tons of threads that "if you are launching a big product or expect your PayPal account activity to change you should contact them" but I can't find any mention of an email address/phone number suitable for this.

If anyone has dealt with notifying them about increased amounts of money going through an account could you let me know how you contacted them, what you said etc.

Also, I'm sure this must have been discussed before but I can't find any specifics in the search. So if you have a thread link please throw that at me and call me an idiot for not finding it.

Cheers,

Andy

    Hey Andy,

You'll need to login to your PayPal account and scroll right to the bottom...

You'll see a Contact Us tab then click Call Us... you'll be issued a special pin
to help identify yourself and the phone number is on that page!

    Cheers, Pete

I have had my account frozen just by adding the direct pay to a website. I've had to call several times, mostly to get through their security so my account would work properly. It was a pain, but I suppose I should be happy that they have such tight security.

I just used the contact link at the bottom of the page to get the number.

When they have limited mine they tend to allow payments in but not out so least i can continue selling whilst it happens.

It hasnt happened to me for a while though!

I had issues with Paypal locking my account once because of an influx of sales. That was bad. The only way I could unlock my account was to verify my ownership again and I made a mistake by calling in using my mobile phone. I had to use a land line to verify my address. So I waited for two weeks to get it unlocked. That was a pain.

Just to add to the conversation. I also heard that once you hit a large sale amount, you will get a personal Paypal assistant assigned to you. Anyone doing huge sales on Paypal..please verify. Thanks.

I used to use my paypal account for high price offline services. I was worried about them freezing my account so I rang them and checked if I needed to do anything else then rang again once $5k hit my account. Thought better be safe than sorry. Found them helpful once I got transfered to the Irish head office.

I don't know about a personal PayPal assistant (maybe I haven't gotten high enough for that yet), but I do have what they call a dedicated support line that's reportedly given to a limited number of people.
