create own product or promote other people product? Question about paypal payment

I been thinking
should i create product and promote my own product
or promote other people product(affiliate) but under their name?

Paypal - was wondering how payment works ,
when someone purchase or pay, how to make paypal payment completed immediately(no refund unless i refund them personally?
I am selling digital goods, some buyer may just pay, get the goods and press refund (paypal refund them).

Well now....what if your customer feels they have not received proper value for money. Or if they feel you have misrepresented your product? You want to and an extra layer of red tape for them to receive a refund.

Weather you promote an affiliate product or make your own...you need to know that your providing value for money and accept that there will be a refund % Its a part of doing business. Far more importantly you are building your credibility and brand...if you want to build a sustainable business.

If you search Paypal's Knowledge base you will find your answers. But let me just encourage you to think more long term.

    To your success,

    Promote both.

Creating your own obviously requires a bit more elbow grease to get rolling. But once you have your own product you can promote it AND you can have others promote it for you as affiliates. Double whammy right there.

Promote offers that you really think add value. You want to offer quality products.

    Thanks all for your reply,

been thinking about it, creating own would need some time
promoting others product however would have their name on it and you are promoting using their name.

For the paypal, was thinking how it works,
I am using a personal individual account, i wonder what happen when someone purchase and make payment, is it claim automatically or i have to manually clear it? How do i automatically claim all the amount? Do i need a Premier or Business paypal account?

First, there is nothing like having your own product and getting it promoted for you.
Secondly, I will suggest you go for paypal business account. Remember you need to be able to generate payment links.

Wherever possible I would always opt to promote my own products rather than other people's providing that they are of good quality.

The problem with promoting other people's products is that you have competition from a range of other suppliers, whereas if you promote your own unique product then there is little or no competition.

It really comes down to your personality.

I am a creator. I have always been that way ever since my love of art as a young child. I took that passion to creating software, but that passion has always been there.

There are some great reasons to be a product creator.

Starting out, though, if you don't know what to create or how to market it would be a better choice to try out affiliate marketing.

Once you start selling a product and understand how the sellers are making money, you can take that knowledge and make your own product.

Just about everyone starts out promoting other peoples products, it is a great way to get started, but in my opinion having your own products is where it's at, if you want to make any real money. You have to have full control over everything.

PayPal will not automatically refund, you have to issue a refund.

Well best is to create your own product and in the mean time act as an affiliate so that you are generating revenue from both ends.
    Thanks

Whether you are an affiliate or the product creator, you still have to issue a refund by logging into your paypal account yourself. So I guess I don't understand your question in regards to issuing refunds.

I know some sellers will refuse to issue a refund after the stated/advertised period (say 30 days), but me personally, I haven't done many refunds, but I always issue it if someone asks, even if the refund period has expired.

My personal opinion is that only a small portion of buyers will ask, and if they do I try to offer goodwill and make them go away with as little frustration as possible. Why piss people off, just because you can technically argue about the refund period? I just don't think that's a good long-term biz strategy.

Yes, I know some people will take advantage of you, but again if you're focused on providing valuable products, then it shouldn't be a a big problem for you.
