Make Money With Odesk and Freelancers

Hello Warriors!

So I had a question for everyone!

I'm looking to find a method where I can hire freelancers on sites such as Odesk and other freelancer sites, but make more money than I hire them for.

My general idea is pay them to sign up as a referral under me on a site, and the site pays me per referral. Does anyone know of a site that would work like this? Or would this method be considered fraud by most sites?

I've tried sending them to freebie sites, such as ZNZ and other sites like that, but they only allow for US/Canada/Australia/UK members and I've only attracted other international workers on Odesk so far.

Can anyone help me out with this? Any advice or tips?

    I am on Elance, People Per Hour and Fiverr. I generally use those sites to prospect leads for new potential clients. (ie: I get hired for a small job, then continue working with that client on larger jobs) It's been going pretty well so far.

    I'm not totally sure of the strategy you're describing, but one way you can make money on freelancers is by selling your services for one price, then hiring a freelancer to do the work for less. Not sure if that's something you had in mind or not - but just another idea.

    What you are decribing is illegal in the UK for a number of reasons. They'd all have to buy something for you to get paid but the item will cost more then you'll get. Also remember many outsourcing sites will demand payment upfront before you hire anyone. It's better to lever their time and skillset to make you money. There's lots of ways to do this. Search the forum for some of the discussions about this.

      So far I haven't found this the case with freebie sites and Freelance sites.

      Most freelance sites will refund you the payment if the job isn't completed to your satisfaction.

      And there are many offers that they can complete that are less than I am paying them.

      However, I guess I would explain my method as more of arbitrage. Does anyone know how to make money in this way with freelancers other than reselling their services? I would like something a little more instant. I'm not sure if this is possible though. Thanks!
