Best ways to make money with hosting?

Hey. I was just wondering if anybody could tell me how they have made money with hosting sites? I already have some good ideas that I may use before long but was wanting to see what you all thought? Thanks.

    If you have a blog you can post a tutorial how to build a website
    or how to set up a wordpress blog for example and then
    recommend the Hosting affiliate program. You can also make a
    youtube video instead.

      This is what I was thinking of doing when I build up some more traffic to my site. Really like the idea of showing other people how to make their own site

    The only thing I can think of is becoming a re-seller for that hosting website or become an affiliate. As far as promoting those type of things, think outside the box and do something unique that not many people have tried. Hosting is a tough cookie to crack to make money, very saturated to my knowledge. If you think about it, there are xxx,xxx or more hosting businesses that exist. They pop up and disappear constantly.

    I have heard some good stories about successful re-sellers with popular sites such as Hostgator.

    Two ways:

    1) Being a hosting reseller
    2) being an affiliate

    Both have pros and cons

    you might also want to provide website design and find these startup businesses, they all wanted exposures so offering them a webpage is something they'd want as well.

      Exactly. Just find an honest and great provider though, cause if he fails, you fail too.

      Find a product/service that converts and then invest on promoting it, else you'll burn money in no time.

        Other than the standard "write a review post"... just off the top of my head:

        Although I haven't done this personally, I've seen multiple people who would offer to setup/install Wordpress for free. The only catch is, you had to buy hosting through their affiliate link. If you wanted to, you could actually create a "package" for people to choose from.

        You can promote the hosting through a funnel... give away a "money site" (fancy squeeze page) where the only stipulation is, they have to buy hosting through your link so you can install/set it up. Even if they don't take you up on the "money site" offer, you still build a list in the process. In ClickSure funnels, you see this done a lot as a way of "downselling".

    You can either become an affiliate or reseller of a hosting company. Write a killer review on your blog. Do some SEO works which will drive organic traffic for your review post and sales will come in. Hope its help you. I personally use this technique and make around $550 from it.

    Iv been with Host Gator for years now and every client or friend who is in need of setting up a website, I have them each sign up under my hosting link so I get credit. I make $50-$100 per each customer.

    You can become a affiliate where you will refer people to purchase web hosting and other way is reseller hosting, where you will purchase a server/reseller plan and sell it to your customer

      Offer a basic WordPress setup for $50 or FREE if they use your affiliate link, or something similar, anyway you get the trick.
      Go to people in need of WordPress setup, see some coaches selling course about "how to make money with a blog" or similar, talk to the coach and propose to their members a free basic WordPress setup.

    Offer high quality step by step guides, that teaches readers someone of worth, that requires hosting. Examples:

    How to setup a squeeze page for list building
    How to setup a amazon affiliate review blog
    How to start your own forum

    The list goes on..As a reader, if someone teaches me something for free, that I would have been willing to pay top learn, I am far more open to checking his resources and following his advice.
