Brilliant New Idea or Re-Inventing an Unpopular Wheel?

Without going into too much detail, an idea came to mind that I think has tremendous potential for massive profit. Of course, it begs more questions to the pool of wise Warriors than I have answers. Here it is...

How can I manage a sub-affiliate (2nd tier?) program for affiliate products? (Clickbank, CPA, Amazon, etc.)

Example: I am an affiliate of Amazing X and I want to build an army of affiliates to promote my affiliate link and receive a share of my share.

The reason my sub-affiliates would promote my link rather than their own is because I would have a superior marketing/sales platform that they could tap into rather than develop themselves.

A little voice in the back of my head tells me something similar has been done before, though I am at a loss for memory.

If this is anything new, lets discuss, team-up, and build!

At the very least, we can kick the idea around the yard a bit and have a good laugh!

    As I am cleaning up the kitchen it hits me that this is much like giving your sub-affiliates their own website. The part I can't get my simple head around is the sharing the money cut of a cut. Hmmm, back to the dishes...

      Your wheels inside that head of yours are a-grinding, that's for sure!

      Seems to me that most affiliates don't quite make enough for themselves... let alone to split their take, their commissions, with others.

      But maybe the ones who rise to the top of the Affiliating Mountain would make enough to do something like that...

      Just mho.

      PS - Keep them wheels a-turning. If you can come up with this concept cold-turkey... you'll hit a gold-mine sooner or later!

    I'm working on a similar project actually.. but can't reveal too many details yet.
    The benefit is that after you set this "sub" affiliate program up, you can migrate to create your own "network" shall we say.

      Right, it becomes a network of sorts. Imagine you and your sub-affiliate army are promoting clickbank products that offer a 75% commission. If you split your commission 50/50 with your sub-affiliates, the two of you are still making out better than the original product owner. You did little more than provide the superior platform.

      If you really wanted to get generously crazy, you have a pool of revenue that you share with others as well to sweeten the membership pot. There I go leaking parts of the master plan...you reap what you sow, though.

      I still think this is doable and could be spun to grow pretty much any market of products.

    Shoemoney did one for eBay. Many "pay to/incentive" sites operate on the same principal.

    And yes, you could do very well if you also teach them, provide materials, etc. I wouldn't target places like ClickBank though as they (affiliates) will just steal your materials.

    Imagine if you could do it for Amazon and other companies who dropped NY, RI, NC affiliates...

    I would do more of a 90/10 split though.
