Do internet marketing on wearable devices?

Wearable devices (glass, smartwatches) are more and more popular. They are next trend, then what will happen to internet marketing?

Any changes on strategies, content... can be foreseeable?

I guess IM will need to adopt to the changes. It may be just like how IM is shifting from desktops to laptops and mobile devices.

No significant differences will be noticable. Principles of work will stay the same for us with slight adjustments... Remember www to wap, b/w mobiles to colorful, no OS to Symbian (and others) then android. 3 inch mobiles to 5, 7, 10 now... But the principles are the same. Just like in cars - they evolve fast, but there are always will be 4 wheels and a steering wheel

Although most people use tablet and smartphone.... but... both tablet and smartphone are hard to use for internet marketing activity. You still need laptop or PC for the internet marketing.

The real question we should be asking is........

As marketers...... what can we come up with, create, or source that would compliment these up and coming devices? How can we SELL that item to make MONEY?"

The BUYERS of those types of devices constitute a market to which we can market.

Yes. I think in terms of the MARKET THE BUYERS OF SUCH ITEMS CREATE. As an a axample...... could one create a guide on "10 Ways to Get the Most Out of....."

There are other ways too like creating apps and such.

Content has already changed to suit mobiles so, yes, whatever people use to surf the net will dictate the look and operation of sales pages, shopping carts, squeeze pages and blogs.

As for strategies well, look, has the increased use of mobiles affected the long text sales page? Are graphical pages and videos more prevalent?

Wherever technology leads, marketers have to follow. We have no choice. One click payment systems, no contact payment technologies, maybe even 3D will catch on thanks to glasses and VR.

What is certain, though, is we can't dictate what people will want to wear or use or do with these new devices. Just wait and see and be prepared for change.

Once a new technology leads the market, it will turn out to be our chance (or our deadlock, maybe). Just prepare for new trend.
I used to think much about what users want, and give them, but somewhat in vain. Instead, to sell something for them, I think about what they dont want (or what make them scared) then sell them something to solve... Thinking...

Yes, the basics will remain the same and the good thing is that new niche and hobby ideas are popping up every day....

The next trend? Kinda like how everyone was talking about Ello just a few months ago?

I'm not saying that wearable devices are or aren't going to be important in the future (I'm certainly no fortune teller) -- but given that there are only so many hours in the day, I'd rather focus my efforts on the technologies that are here now instead of trying to predict the "next big thing". There's still plenty of time to get ahead of that trend -- if it ever becomes a trend at all...
