hi everybody
I am newbie in internet marketing, so while taking the first step on establishing website I got confused between blogger or wordpress, as I don't have money to invest (have paypal problem also) and being beginner too, so I've done some research online _most information & instructions I got were based on blogger, but whene it comes to following some INTERNET MARKETING EXPERTS, I find they use wordpress in their explanations (e.g: sometimes they talk about installing wordpress addons and other stuff relating to wordpress whene it comes to solving problem of their clients), so here, assuming I already have blogger, how can I follow these experts explanation and instructions???

second question is: sometimes I find competitor's blogs, so I copy url and past it in WHO IS.COM but I find it (available to buy), is that mean if I buy it, I have the blog and its contents too, or just a domain without its content?
and if I buy it, so the owner couldn't access to the blog anymore?

I know maybe these are silly questions, but I am sorry I am just in my beginning of internet marketing journey.

    Hey happydz,

Best initial advice I can offer: buy a domain and get yourself some cheap hosting. Seriously. You have to spend a little to get cracking in this business; and those 2 things are pretty much essential if you'd like to begin doing it right. Use coupons to secure low domain prices and shop around for cheap virtual

Go for either blogger or wordpress.com - both are free. I'd recommend blogger.

Start a free blog initially, you can always transfer it to your own domain in future.

if I buy it, I have the blog and its contents too, or just a domain without its content?
and if I buy it, so the owner couldn't access to the blog anymore?
Depends what owner is interested in selling. It can be domain name or complete site. Once you buy a site or domain name, you own it.

    1. Personally, I would go for WordPress from the get-go. Huge community, huge support, and I would say the majority of us IM'ers use this platform.

    2. Who is info just gives you, in some cases, who the domain name is registered to. You won't be able to buy it. You will need your own domain and hosting, and create the site yourself (very easy with WordPress). If you want to buy a site and content, check out Flippa.com.

I recommend you Wordpress, but if you don't have any money, you could give blogger a try, although if you don't abide the rules, your blog could be deleted

Just as it can if you do abide by the rules, too. Hence all the accounts of the very widespread problems linked to, just above.

I suggest wordpress and also doing what GRM recommended.

Get yourself a domain and some good hosting with a cpanel that also has the option to run a quick install of wordpress for you. Otherwise you'll need to learn how to install wordpress yourself.

First off, if you don't have any money to spend, you need to find a way to get some because every legitimate, long-term business model requires some investment. When it comes to blogging, you're gonna need to buy a domain name and web hosting at the very least. Finally, Wordpress has pretty much become the standard when it comes making money from blogging.

    Good luck,
    Joey

No Doubt, Wordpress is the best for blogging,
Because optimization is very easy in wordpress, and in blogger no optimization, even blogger will send you bot traffic, which is not good for any blog,
My advice is to go with wordpress only,
For beginning start with low price, go with go daddy and chose managed WP hosting with free domain, total cost will be only 1 USD per month.

I strongly advise you to avoid this.

For all the reasons explained here, it's extremely inadvisable to register a domain-name in the same place in which you're hosting its website, especially if you're using GoDaddy.

I always use Wordpress for all my business. Wordpress has more tools, themes and plugins.
Wordpress interface is more user friendly. You can build high quality even complicated websites with Wordpress.

it's always better to have a domain and a server of yours.
tis way you can keep backups and you're not in the mighty will of google (blogger is owned from google and if google decides to ban your blog, it will not questions asked.)

    so use your own servers

    good luck!

You can make backups of your site regardless of whether or not you have your own server.

As long as you have your own domain and you keep backups, you're safe.
