what are you going to do when strangers promote something to you?

What are you going to do when a stranger email of or grab you on social media (FB, G+) and ask you if they can promote something to you.

Something here is like a product, service or blog post (they may want you to share their post to get some traffic).

Here is just an example:

[I know you from Warrior forum. Can I promote a luxury watch from Ebay to you?]

They may think people who offers WSO are millionaires because they can make like $1000 in 1 day. So, they think these people may like some luxury stuffs.

It is just what they think, so they have to ask you to confirm.

So, what are you going to do in these kind of situation?

1- why is this in bold and big font? No need for that.

2- Simple, don't buy it. Say thank you and say you aren't interested.

Clearly this is foolish attempt for signature exposure. He complains about strangers contacting him with an offer, but yet in his sig he asks strangers to in fact contact him with an offer.

Which is it, you want to be contacted by strangers or you don't.

P.S. The bold large font is childish.

I am going to think they are rank amateurs and do one of two things...

    1. Ignore and block them (most likely)

    or...

    2. Offer to coach them on how to market more effectively.

This has been a horrible year for me buying things that strangers promote.

In the last week, I've two young kids come to my door attempting to sell things--cookies and the most expensive chocolate covered popcorn I've ever seen.

I've had a real hard telling them to take a hike, especially when they bat their eyes and look all innocent.

You see posts like this and you realize why 95% fail at marketing....

Is it any wonder most Warriors have abandoned this forum? It is just full of useless posts written in poor English devised to promote a sig link.

This is the perfect example of a zero-value post. Of course written in 80 pt font because all these trolls are trying to find anything to get people to scroll down.

      Agree 100%
But that's what happens when there is such a low entry barrier...

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

It wasn't happening nearly to this degree until after Freelancer bought WF.

It seems like they are promoting WF to the low-fee operators on Freelancer who are migrating here. A lot of the posts seem to be coming from people trying to promote themselves, their services or their link.

They post and behave more like freelancers scrounging for leads than marketers looking for guidance.
