membership sites and solo ads

Hi warriors

I'm planning to launch a new PLR membership site and I thought that solo ads can be a good start to get the first wave of members.

If you are in my shoes how are you going to proceed?

  • Is it a free membership site with an option to upgrade? If it is then that may be a better business model, otherwise if you are looking to make $ straight from the start then you will need a big solo ad budget OR some GREAT solo ad sellers.

Yes then it may work. There are tons of factors. Such as the solo ad provider, your copy, your cost for upgrade, the niche.. so many factors.

No one can tell you for a fact that you will have success. The only thing I can highly suggest is setting up an auto responder sequence. Promoting your upgrade as well as a bunch of free content to entice them to keep opening up your messages and clicking. Even if they don't covert to a paid member you can promote other affiliate offers to your list.

        Good luck!

You should invest time to get quality traffic, why don't you ask for affiliate first?
I don't believe that much in solo ads.
Nice day to all of you

I never used them before so I thought maybe an experienced member can shed some light on his experience

        Nice day to you too

gathering affiliates is the best thing to do when launching a product. You could have offered your membership site as an OTO for a recurring com. for your affiliate. That will work. But just offering your membership site will be very tough to gather affiliates that bring in volume.

            I agree

building rapport with affiliates is a process that takes time
my reasoning is to invest in traffic to build a list and do an internal launch first so I can provide solid data to other affiliates to help them decide to jump on board

    Hi,

Having a membership as a low RISK $1 down-sell offer always works well
as in terms of getting a BUYER onto your lists.

    A BUYER is a BUYER.

No matter how much they spend with you.

Give them NO choice but to join your members program by giving them
great value in return for very little at the front end.

Once they see how good your members area is it'll be far easier to see
those retention rates stay high and those recurring payments to flow into
    your account every single month.

Hi-In my opinion, solo ads at the right price for your membership site will skyrocket your profits.I suggest buying them at $0.4/click to turn a good monthly profit.

Solo ad vendors can have such a variety of quality issues that you really need to look at testimonials here on the forum.

Remember to direct the clicks to a squeeze page first so you can grab emails, then immediately funnel them to your upsell membership or related product offerings.

I can tell you that Solo ads are great I have sent Solo ads to my list for particular programs or offers with incredible sales and Optins. But I have also seen next to no clicks from the same list on other offers.

The idea with Solo ads is to make them short and to the point. In my experience the longer the ad the less clicks it will receive. There are plenty of Solo ads providers on this site that are very good!

I feel solo ads would work if it's good quality solo ad. I would suggest joining solo ad testimonial group in facebook and take a look at what solo ad buyers have to say about the different vendors. I would get a solo which a buyer says the got a good opt in rate (45% and up), good amount of tier one visitors ( 70% & up) and possibly a sale or 2.
