Client wants a "members" section added to their website. Anyone know of a service they can purchase

I have a client who runs a website about healthy eating & lifestyles. Their daily visitors has increased steadily over the years & shot through the roof recently after she was brought on as an "expert" on a popular daytime talk show.

So, she now wants to include a paid "members" section of her website. Her site was custom built, so I'm not sure how easy it would be to integrate wordpress or other cms components into her site. I was hoping to find a service where she could pay a monthly fee to host this portion of her site & manage signups.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Since her site was custom coded, the membership aspect has to be too for uniformity and professional look. If you need this done, you can pm me and we'll talk better from there on.
Its not as if you cannot integrate wordpress, but coding the membership section to rhyme with what you have already would be better, however, both wordpress and custom code can be done.

Look into DAP (Digital Access Pass) - tons of amazing features too, they're very helpful and you might just be able to get it done easily with them since they have great video tutorials to help you as well.

I used DAP some years ago and really liked it.

Another option would be The Rainmaker Platform - the client would have to make the move to WordPress, but the business overall could really benefit from an all-in-one platform like Rainmaker.

Another great option is Kajabi. It's used by many of the web's top earners (including 7-figure earners like Jeff Walker)... it's easy and quick to use, and has almost every feature you'd ever want.

I am a fan of aMember Pro.

Although you could integrate a template into it, you don't have to. You can just run the member section independently on the aMember platform, and it would look and feel pretty good to her membership.

I prefer Optimize Member plugin with Optimize Press. This is what I use for my members area on my blog. Kajabi is another preferred alternative

How about installing a subdomain for the client? ie: members.herdomainname.com

Install Wordpress there & grab OptimizePress or something similar?

Viola! No need to change the current website in the least. Just hyperlink to the sub-domain where login and password are required for access.

Absolutely. You could also either a) make a WP theme that incorporates the client's colour scheme and header graphics using Lubith (free) or b) get a coder to create a theme for you. It will look slightly different to the client's main site, but that will add to its appeal: As a member you get to go somewhere different the regular visitors can't.

s2Member is also worth considering as a membership platform.

Thanks for everyone's advice. I'm leaning towards DAP, but still researching each of the suggestions you've all provided.

Dap is what we use and we love it. Just be ready because the set up is definitely fun. :-)
