If someone is selling a solo ad for $5 there is a pretty good reason why.

Quality leads will cost good money.

I prefer to use PPC to get quick subscriber. Use lower quality PPC if you don't have big budget.

Solo ads do work but you must only buy clicks from trusted sellers. I bought clicks from FB Groups several times after seeing their testimonials, until I realized they're just exchanging testimonials with other sellers.

the main issue with solo ads is (based on my and the experiences most of my clients made):

1. There are a lot of Solo Ad Vendors with 2 email lists (Freebie Seeker and their buyer list)
2. I highly recommend to choose your solo ad vendor by searching the right solo ad vendor on Reed Floren's Solo Ad Directory
3. Start small with buying solo ads and then raise up if the CR is good

It's better to buy 1000 clicks from 10 solo ad vendors to get an idea of what solo got the best CR instead of buying 1000 clicks from 1 or 2 vendors...

Solo ads from Fiver are nothing but scams in most cases. Mainly auto bots and useless traffic.
Like anything you have to shop around a little you can only go by testimonials and price anyone who offers 500 click etc for 20 bucks I would steer clear away. I think the going rate is about 100 clicks for 30 to 40 dollars for a good responsive list!

Try to go Facebook then type "solo ads testimonials" on search field. You will find few groups about it. You see many bad testimonials and good testimonials about solo ads sellers.

A Solo Ad is basically an email blast that is sent out to someone’s list of subscribers. People that offer solo ads typically have massive lists and they can steer a certain number of guaranteed clicks to your opt-in page instantly. When your page reaches that number of clicks, the traffic gets driven to another person and so on. This means that targeted buyers in your niche market will be exposed to your lead capture page in a concentrated focused period of time.

Fiverr is the worst place to go

Yeah that's also similar to the story of how I got banned from Google Adsense. I had LOTS OF CASH ready to be paid to me and then some troll put a bot on my website. Next thing I know, my Google Adsense account is shut down.

Yes they can work. But NOT all Solo Ad vendors are created equal. There are some good ones and there are some really bad ones.

However, even with the good ones you are still more than likely going to have a large portion who are not as high quality as some of the other mediumsof getting traffic.

Mainly, because this traffic ( the subscribers) is also on many other peoples' lists.

It comes down to a numbers game in the end.

If you have some deep pockets you can make it work.

Just beware though that if you start buying solo ads you will be competing against guys like Matt Bacak who buys up to 250K worth of Solos a month

Cheap solo ads and the majority of the free ones are not worth bothering.
The greatest results are from lists that cost a fortune to use. Like 2k for a mailing but you might get 100 sales and i ain't talking about LEADS only

I've been buying "solos" for over two years now.

Here is a tip - avoid all these small, "mom and pop" sellers (who can only do like a max of 1,000 clicks).

Go straight to traffic brokers instead, here you can buy traffic in bulk (100,000 clicks delivered in 7 days etc).

Most of these small sellers don't know how to monetize a list properly, they are not affiliates. Most of the time, they just get into the "solo ad business".

They will either get a coach, who will sell them discounted clicks
-or-
Start buying clicks themselves from other solo ad sellers with the sole purpose of building a list to sell solo ads too.

They then start doing the "Swaps" and "click banks" with each other and the result is a bunch of low quality optins that are just going to take up space in your autoresponder.

This will allow you to join some conversations and see who has had any success
with an offer/set up similar to your own when buying a solo ad.

2. YES they do work but there are so many people doing just ad-swaps
with other list owners that when you buy click packages off these guys you're
just going to get a bunch of freebie seekers on your lists.

Ask many questions of the solo ad seller before you BUY.

Ask them how they built their lists, what traffic sources did they use etc.

You'll be able to make better buying decisions based on these questions.

And if they don't get back to you; then be CAUTIOUS of them.

That's your problem...you think you can find quality on Fiverr. There's a reason why the saying, "you get what you pay for" exists.

To answer your question, the short answer is: it depends.

Never buy Solo Ads from websites like Fiverr or so. Solo ads price starts from $0,3 per click and up.

If you have a funnel that converts and you get the solo ads from the right place they do.

Solo ads work wonderfully, but the conditions have to be right. Those conditions are:

1. A good seller who has buyers on his list (I pay more than .75 per click for these clicks in most instances)

2. A good squeeze page that is proven to convert at 40% or better

3. A highly optimized, properly monetized funnel

If you have all 3 of those then you are bound to see success with solo ads.

Now, as far as "click banking" goes, I am against it.

I'm not sure who developed this concept, but IMO it is very bad for list building, and the faster it goes away the better.

I have tried it myself out of curiosity, and the results were as I expected they would be. A bunch of very unresponsive leads that rarely bought anything. If you're happy with a 3% open rate and a 1%-2% CTR then click banking might be for you. If you want to bombard brand new subscribers with squeeze page after squeeze page and CPA offer after CPA offer then click banking might be right for you.

Personally, I think the entire concept is extremely flawed. I've gone through many click banking funnels and was totally awe struck to see how this is being done. Usually it's a little something like this:

Squeeze page #1 ==> Squeeze page #2 ==> Squeeze page #3 (CPA offer) ==> Thank-you page with 5 more links on it that go to more squeeze pages and CPA offers ==> "Welcome" email full of links to more squeeze pages and CPA offers.

I've often wondered why click banking is so popular. Am I missing something here? I guess if you want to try and suck every last dime you can out of a brand new subscriber then it's a good strategy. Personally that's not the way I do things. Maybe I'm leaving lots of money on the table but for some reason I just cannot bring myself to do click banking. I just can't see putting those types of leads on my list. How can you develop a relationship with folks when all you do is bombard them with squeeze pages and CPA offers?

Another thing that blows my mind is when people that are doing this lose their AR account and then are totally bewildered as to why. I'm really surprised that the AR companies haven't outlawed click banking altogether.

Solo ads work but only if you take the time to do your research. Don't just go out and buy them and you will waste you're money. Build a relationship with solo ad providers on Facebook through groups and connect to your friends list.

Make sure and talk to them, ask them to review your landing page, the good solo ad sellers will give you great advice on what works best for their list. A lot of people fail because they hear a name in the game and run right to them thinking they are going to make hundreds of sales.

You certainly get what you pay for in the world of solo ads. It also pays to do some research on the guy you plan to buy from; look up some testimonials and note the dates that these were posted to get a feel for the quality of the vendor.
As a newbie I did some research late last year and did my first solo ad run this month and achieved great optin rate and 8 sales in the first run. These were my first ever online sales!!
So yes, solo ads can work - but there is no guarantee.

Well, if you got the traffic from trusted solo ad sellers, you can't be wrong with. It has been proven to work for many. Before making any purchase, make sure you run a small background check on the seller's reputation. There are many legit testimonial pages in facebook.

I suggest you test the water first by buying small amount of package and then only buy bigger packages of clicks solo only after you've proven the solo seller's traffic quality is legit. Good luck!

I have bought solo ads from several vendors, and personally have not had much luck with any. I have gotten better results from my own squeeze pages + facebook retargeting.

I hope this does not come off mean or heartless but of course you did not have very good luck you were only paying $5.00.

Solo ads are an amazing way to build your list, and once your list gets built up and now you can focuse on getting the sales once the leads come in and believe me when I say that in most cases Leads start rolling in within the first week at the most but it makes no difference... You just have to be consistent.
