If you had Cash but no Time, what business model would you pursue?

Hey gang,
So I've been nosing around here for a few years, and even put in my two cents once in a while.... now I have a dilemma: I have cash to invest in a business, but minimal TIME to invest in that business. You see, in the past my problem was opposite. I had tons of time but no cash. Well, I've started a lucrative business in a field I don't really care to be in, and now want to start "working" my way into a marketing biz that I actually enjoy.

When I say I don't have any time - that's a stretch. I can find an hour each day, perhaps two hours if I had to. This hour a day is about what I figure I need to invest as a minimum to keep VAs and outsource contractors moving.

I absolutely love marketing as a business, and have even started my own offline consulting biz a few years back, but I'm not sure if I can swing that particular business model with a minimal investment of time?

Ultimately, I want to be able to run this biz while traveling. My lifelong goal is to continue my travels around the world.

What are your thoughts? What business models in the marketing world lend themselves to being heavily outsourced with minimal supervision?

Please don't tell me you have a start-up you want me to invest in - that's not what I'm looking for.

Thanks in advance! You Warriors are a huge inspiration.

It sounds like you have the lifestyle goals down Jeremy. Now it's time to decide what type of market you'd like to dive into. I wouldn't suggest just "going to where ever the money is" because this place doesn't exist.. It's like you mentioned, you have to build the business.

To be completely honest, with all of the softwares and drag and drop web design with wordpress and capture pages, it's so simple to start generating a real income and developing a full-scale business online with just 1-2 hours per day.

There's really no need to outsource this work and it would probably benefit you to be in complete control of every piece by creating it yourself

I love your goal of traveling the world! very cool

Invest in stock market. Invest in real estate. Invest in startups (angel investor).

    Write a book

Build your own product, start with an idea and outsource the process. It's possible for simple product or small scale SaaS.

Affiliate marketing + media buy, you need to learn at first and then build your own team

These are all great tips and tricks. I think the stock market is the place to be if you have the additional cash to invest in the money.

Paid advertising is very lucrative, but I just never recommend it to people who are just beginning their online careers to avoid risking losing all of their cash

Sounds like an awesome problem to have!

From my understanding, seems like you can come up with a product/idea/software and outsource the entire process and just oversee it!

Upmarket rental property in countries where real estate prices are already picking up a little, after the crash, in easy-to-let locations with reliable agents. It's even possible, with care and planning, to use each property - to some extent - as security to buy the next with a "buy-to-let" mortgage, at minimal risk. But location is "everything".

Sounds like real estate might be your ticket as stated. Check out Ron Legrand...his has an excellent system with a number of ways to profit form your investment. Some involve very little time (and money for that matter) but yield huge margins.

      To your Success,

  • It will be better that you come up with a software that will be managed by some outsourced staff while you are busy travelling. This will also give access to this software because it will be run from online.

This will be the business models like that of YouTube and many other software tools that we have only and use on daily basis.

There is a very simple answer to that mate

      Pick a lucrative niche

Build a list in that niche

Sell your own and affiliate products to that list

      Simple, Scalable & Very Profitable

      Hope that helps

Thanks for a ll your input guys and gals.

I guess as I read each of your replies, it caused me to realize that the things I enjoy most are creating content and helping other people make money. I really enjoyed my short stint as an offline marketing consultant. (I had to leave due to financial hardship at the time)

I guess maybe I need to look at outsourcing everything I can, and perhaps I need to find a little more time to put into my new biz.

Clarity is what I'm looking for, and I guess I'm getting closer to that.

    Cheers.

I would go with stocks in a heartbeat. You don't have to do anything at all.Just make sure you pick a good steady stock that pays a fair dividend.

Besides that, you could have someone make you a killer website, another person to promote it on their facebook or whatever, and you buy an automatic content poster and spinners. From there you just set up your affiliate links and stuff to integrate with the software and BOOM! You're making cash automatically. Setup cost should be about $179 with really no time investment besides 15 minutes or so. I'm not selling any services or anything, but if you would like to know the sources I personally use, send me a PM.

I suppose real estate will be with your safest bet with decent returns.

Don't expect to become rich online without spending a considering amount of time, just doesn't exist for what I know.

It can be done in such way where you invest a huge amount of time up front and then sit back and relax. That's called SEO and can be a very passive way to make money online.

Some people say that with SEO you need to keep on adding content to sites and keep on adding backlinks. That is complete nonsense, there are millions of static sites online that never change a thing, on top of that links get stronger while they age so there is no need to keep on adding links forever. (unless your links become weaker or your competition is very active). Links becoming weaker is something that always happens, whether you are featured at Forbest, Huffingtonposts or on your own PBN that loses links over time. However in most niches the aging of links compensates that.

I would probably focus on building a targeted email list, if you have the resources to build one fast of a few thousands and grow it over time that might be the only thing you need. I mean what's simpler than sending an email to thousands of people and generating sales automatically.

    Beauty of internet marketing...
