Host a Video With Password Protection for Online Course or WSO?

Hi,

I put together a video course on how I made over $50k on Fiverr as a Super Seller - and I'd like to offer it as a WSO and also sell it on my own website. Where can I host a 1 hour long video that will be password protected and once people have purchased the course - they can then get access? Is there any automated system for this? Preferably one that stops log-ins from more than 2-3 IP addresses?

Thanks in advance for any info!

Mike

I'd host it on Amazon S3 and use these guys link protection:
    https://flyplugins.com/s3-media-maestro/

They put out very solid stuff and they're not like a lot of these hit-and-run guys whose products end up being useless in a few months. They keep updating their products and there's no ongoing monthly fees.

I think ScreenCast may offer what you're looking for

I recommend you break that course up into modules. It will be easier for your students to go back and reference and give your product a higher perceived value.

Thanks - yes - the course is already in 5-15 minutes sections because I made it for Udemy as well. Do I have to have a website as well, or can I just send the people who buy the course directly to the course video links on Sceencast/flyplugins or wherever I host the secured videos?

    I appreciate your help!

Looks like when you "Create WSO" for sale here on WF - they give you the option to simply upload files. I am wondering if I can just upload the course video files and is that a safe/smart way of doing this?

...and I am noticing that Vimeo offer password protected videos for FREE - but obviously this wouldn't stop sharing, at least I don't think...

Build a members area in Wordpress and use one of a myriad of membership plugins to secure the content and automate the access for new members/sales.

    Here's a few to research:

    FREE: S2 Member

PAID: Digital Access Pass, InstaMember, Wishlist Member, Membersonic

Deliver the member videos as H.264 encoded MP4.

Host them on Amazon S3. Most of the membership plugins above integrate with S3 and will secure access to them for you.

MemberSonic does this as well, but it has a much shorter learning curve.

Use WordPress, Amazon S3 to host the videos, FlyPlugins Media Maestro to lock down the videos and MemberSonic for an actual membership site and I believe you'll have a very killer setup for a reasonable investment with the least learning curve.

Udemy is definitely the way to go, you can offer access to your members area for students who enroll in your course, and doing this, when you release new updated videos you already have an established list of students to market. I wish you much success.

Ugh - the word "wordpress" just stresses me out! I have a wix account and my personal domain - I may just make a page on that site and have all the links to each course section. They click on the links and enter a password and watch each section.

Yes - Udemy was my main goal for this course - but I also want to do an WSO and possibly a course on Lynda dot com.

If anyone has a spare moment - I posted my "course preview" video on Youtube - would love feedback. I show a screen shot of my earnings - but to prove it further there will be a section of the course where I actually log into my fiverr account and the student can see my actual earnings and average sale - which is a nice $33!

I used to feel the same way about WordPress, but it's simple and quite useful for many things.

        Good luck in any case!

I liked your course preview video. The one BIG thing missing is the call to action, but that may not be the purpose of this video but it seems like there should be something you want them to do after watching it and you should tell them what it is. Sorry if I'm missing the point.
