Hi All,

I am new this forum and too the world of affiliate marketing. I purchased an Amazon affiliate websites in hopes of Amazon approving my application.

I sent them my new Affiliate Amazon store that i purchased and the USA and Canada Amazon accepted it. However Amazon UK im i am having problems. Can you guys tell me exactly what they are saying i am doing wrong with my website?

Hello,

I have reviewed of your application to become an Amazon Associate, and visited the website where you planned to advertise for Amazon.co.uk.

We found that the URL [INSERT URL] redirects viewers to Amazon.co.uk, which violates our Operating Agreement. Redirecting to our website infringes on our trademark and causes misunderstandings with our customers.

Because of this, we can not accept your application at this time. As a result of this decision, you will no longer be able to access your Amazon Associates account.

We encourage you to resubmit your application once your site no longer redirects to Amazon.co.uk.

Thank you for your interest in the Associates Programme.

Hello Again,

Can you please be a little more specific as I am still lost. I have read what a redirecting link is Amazons Operating Agreement many times now and I still cant put my finger on it.

Redirecting Link" means a link that sends users indirectly to an Amazon Site via an intermediate site or webpage and without requiring the user to click on a link or take some other affirmative action on that intermediate site or webpage.

Maybe i need to put a logo "powered by Amazon" near the discount finder?

If you can just give me hint of some sort. If you cant I believe it maybe some kind of work policy which I understand.

Hello,

I understand your confusion regarding the redirecting of link.

In this case, please know that, when selecting Amazon.co.uk Associates Programme participants, we try to determine why a customer would seek out the website in question, review the topic or content of the website, and subsequently follow a link to Amazon.co.uk. The programme isn't set up to simply advertise Amazon.co.uk and third party links within websites, or make mini Amazon websites.

Because of this, we can not accept your application at this time. We encourage you to resubmit your application once your site no longer redirects to Amazon.co.uk.

Thank you for your interest in the Associates Programme.

Warmest regards,

Can you guys help me out here? What do i need to change. And why doesnt anybody ever post their website on here?

Well, you didn't provide a URL so we would only be guessing.

You aren't allowed to redirect a site to Amazon. Especially if it is framed. Are you iframing the site?

How are you redirecting to Amazon? Knowing that would help a lot.

Simply remove the redirection and use direct affiliate links.

People don't post their website because:

    - WF may delete the post thinking you are promoting. You can add a disclaimer that you aren't and the mods tend to honor it and take the URL down after your question is answered

    - Other marketers learn your niche, marketing/writing style, WP Theme/ monetization sources, keywords, etc.

      Here is my website: gphonecenter.com

Disclaimer: I am not promoting my website in anyway. I am simplly trying to find advice why Amazon will not approve of my website.

while I can not be sure, I would bet it has something to do with the plugin you have installed "amazon affiliate link localizer" From what I can see that plugin redirects your link to the correct amazon, i.e. .com, .ca, .co uk etc. etc.

I would get in touch with the plugin provider and see what they have to say, it could be something as simple as the settings in the plugin.

    This is the problem:

"...we try to determine why a customer would seek out the website in question, review the topic or content of the website, and subsequently follow a link to Amazon.co.uk. The programme isn't set up to simply advertise Amazon.co.uk and third party links within websites, or make mini Amazon websites."

Your website is just a gallery of products that link to Amazon. There is no added value, no review, no user engagement.

Amazon does not want affiliates to build what are basically e-commerce stores that link to Amazon.

Another problem with your site is you are displaying prices that are not accurate or items that are not available.

I saw phones for sale for 1 cent with a link to Amazon only to be told "product not available". This is also a violation of the ToS.

Amazon is at the point where they want you to have a niche website that DOES NOT depend on Amazon's Affiliate gateway. In order to get accepted, just add a bunch of content about your niche and then reapply. if your website only has Amazon products, then Amazon will have no purpose for your site because people could just go directly to Amazon.com

As attackdome says you want to provide them with a site that looks like it is providing unique information to its visitor not a bunch of product reviews with links to Amazon. So set up a site in your niche with 5-10 informative articles and then resubmit to Amazon.

Once you have been approved the chances of them looking at any of your future sites will be slim so you can do what you like with them.

Hey I just wanted to say thanks for everyones suggestions. I will post back when I get further results.

Maybe i should have purchased a site that already had content with Amazon products and Google ad sense incorporated in it. I can bring traffic, just need a website....
