What's up with the WF???...

INTERNET MARKETING

Over the last few weeks,

I've been getting this weird problem just suddenly.

They usually only last a couple minutes where I can't access the forum at all!

(I CAN access the old one though)

Here's what I get...

First a message like this appears:

FastCGI Error. 500 internal error

The I will restart my browser and this message appears when I try to go to it again:

[VBulleting logo]DATABASE ERROR | Contact Administrator.

Anyone else having this same problem?

PS: It is NOT the browser that's causing this. I tried it with IE, Firefox, and Google Chrome.

  I think you're right and the good thing is that it only lasts a few minutes, not like the old forum where it will shut down for hours.

  I've been getting that as well now and again.
  
  I look on it as a message to tell me that I shouldn't be there and should be getting some work done :-)
  
  So I do some work and then go back later and everything is fine.

  I just kept quiet thinking it would stop soon.

  I figured that was maintenance.
  
  But a 500 server error doesn't really inspire confidence. Perhaps popping up a page that says the site is undergoing maintenance would be a little better?

It's an error that happens when FastCGI connections max out or something. We are working on it. This is a Windows server running running PHP so it might be something we have to live with for the moment. Until I get the old forum messages converted at least...

Also, it happens more often at night around 12 when the backup is running..

Allen, thank you, you have solved my problem. I'm 16 hours ahead of PST so that is why I get problems when the rest of you are asleep.

Hint for new competitions, do them when I'm awake and Jose is asleep, or even the whole of America is asleep.

You missed the one I did last week, where Jose named almost every country with a mountain, but couldn't get the name of the place. The winner was busy naming cities in China with mountains hoping to hit the right one. It was fun to watch them desperately trying to win a book they had no idea what it was about.
