Aside from offering something irresistible, your squeeze page should also be high-converting. Test it constantly. The best free stuff you give away is useless if they don't subscribe in the first place.

Once you got a high-converting opt-in page, find solo ad providers in your niche to get targeted traffic.

What could work very well for you is offering a free 'cheat sheet' related to your niche /topic.
These are very popular, and I would enter my details to receive one on a topic that interests me.

I read something today that made a lot of sense, it said that if you want to make some money you build a subscribers list, if you want to make a lot of money you build a list of fans. It actually makes a lot of sense. A lot of people do list building and all they do is push a different offer everyday, instead if you treat your list with respect even if it's small you'll see bigger returns on your email promotions.

Focus on providing value one way or the other and build a list from quality traffic.

I agree. I actually just got done setting up my autoresponder messages & I would say the most important part of having a list is only recommending products that actually work & provide value to your subscribers. I know I've been in several programs that when I look back, I probably never would have purchased myself. I'm actually pretty happy with what i have now & hopefully people will feel the same way about them

You can compile your past content into a freebie report, you can even outsource that work and make it nice and attractive.

I would also put emphasis on your copy for your squeeze page, you can't just put "Free Ebook, Please Subscribe" everyone's giving something away these days.

You have to have a compelling copy, think of a problem people who frequent your site have and offer a solution. Make sure you mention that clearly in your copy and never forget a call to action.

What do your customers want the most? What's their biggest problem or challenge or question? Find out, create a report or video or newsletter content that helps them solve it, and offer them that in exchange for signing up.

Launching a WSO (Free or Paid) can help if you use the tools that WarriorPlus or JVZoo have to automatically collect the emails of your customers (aka = don't need to build a squeeze page).

One thing to consider: Many of those email addresses are used by users for payments only (you won't be able to reach those users using those addresses).

A free report is very common place, but if it works for your site then stick with it. Just offer some kind of new information that others in your niche are not.

Another idea would be to offer a free ten minute consultation via Skype or Google+ for the client (depending on what type of services you offer) for every subscriber. That could result in a paying customer.

Or, free access to a subscribers only weekly webinar where you can talk with many of your subscribers at once.

First, you need a good product that has been proven and tested. Then you need a good landing page that looks convincing enough to offer their emails. For me, the best way to come up with the good headline is from the sales page of the product itself. You can get a good idea how to align your own headline with that of the product.

To get people in your list, you need to give them some answers they're really looking for. Build your reputation as an expert who really has something valuable to offer. Make the information that your provide them unique. Add a personal touch, make people like your personality.

Now that you have their interest. you need to get their emails. Enable pop ups, perhaps after a minute of a person being on your page. Give them an incentive, and use a good button to get their emails. Don't go with the traditional sign up.

You must offer something people really want..
Think of it this way, for the person who is going to enter their email, and potentially get spammed (some people are very wary of these types of things) The content must be so great, that they will sign up no matter what, even if they think they might get spammed. (You might not be a spammer, but no one knows that.)

This will get everyone wanting in on your list. Provide VERY highly valued content, and people will come.

Keep focused on giving value. Going the extra mile to meet their needs, and of course there is dialing a funnel with a good roi, and scale it up, while slamming out products on the W+

match your headlines and content with popular word searches in your niche, and be consistent.

One of the best ways is to offer free gifts and only offer good gifts so people want to sign up to your list and are really excited about being part of you list. Also make sure you have a high converting squeeze page and after this just find a good traffic source

New subscribers as in they are already on your list, or are looking to get them on your list?

My guess is the latter.

FB ads is a good start, if you can target down your audience you can get some pretty cheap clicks.

Also, put a retargeting pixel on your website...

Then retarget those people to a squeeze page.
