One single advice that increase your revenue drastically?

Hi Guys,

Lets share our knowledge and lets help each other

What was that one tip, that increased your revenue?

For me, it was sending an incomplete report to those who stopped in-between the payment process. i.e. they wanted to buy the product, but stopped right before the payment step. Sending incomplete reports to them with a link to complete the payment, increased the conversion rate drastically..

What's you awesome single advice, that increased your revenue?

Where do you find the cutoff point between a one time fee product and a monthly subscription?

I'm asking because setting the pricing right is a bit more complicated in my experience. For example, I could easily sell a lot of copies of a good product at $9.95 a month, but even a lot of copies as that price might not add up to a lot of money. 100 subscribers still only gets you less than $1,000 a month, and depending on your product, it might not be easy (time-wise) to manage 100 subscribers.

On the other hand, imagine the same product sold as a $47 or $67 one-time fee product (with a one year service guarantee). Selling 50 copies of that per month equals around $2,500 per month, which is now getting you somewhere. You would have money to spare for paid advertising and new JV opportunities, meaning you could eventuality scale to 5 digits a month.

Selling the same product as $47 a month would drastically decrease conversion rate in my experience.

What do you think? How do you calculate the optimal pricing points?

Find a niche or service that you are good at and stick with it. This advice has served me very well. Once I found my niche, something that I'm passionate about and good at, I was able to move forward. Others are still searching around and dabbling at this and that or falling prey to the shiny object syndrome. And, for those people, I would just say to find one thing you really love doing or talking about every day and focus on that. Even if it's an odd subject, you can find a way to monetize that, even if just by writing a Kindle ebook about it.

Showing them that you actually care about helping them. Don't create a sense of fear by hiding behind the email all the time. Connect with them on Facebook, call them on Skype. Once you build authority, trust will come naturally and trust will build a loyal following who will buy from you.

Take out the mentality that this is about you and start thinking about them and then you'll see a huge difference.

Actually, that's good advice. The online world can be a scary place for many people. So it helps when your customers (or potential customers) can see you as a real person. Knowing they can simply call you up or connect with you on a social network is sure to alleviate that natural fear. A good way to establish trust instantly.

Treating every website visitor as GOLD. I wasn't able to do this until recently now that I've switched to an integrated "system" instead of having so many pieces and parts of software that don't talk to each other. I used to waste I'll bet 20 hours a week troubleshooting all of those independent tools and now I can just focus on really giving what my site visitors need.

This is a terrific strategy. Gary Halbert used to say that one of his great promotions was sending the info product to the lead...but locked. Then he'd follow up saying - you have the product, just log on and pay to unlock it.

Once we got them to subscribe as a free user, we took them to a 4-step onboarding process. That increased their usage rate dramatically and sooner or later, they upgrade to either a Micro or Starter account to take advantage of more features

I know that focussing is very important, but some things also need time and not a 40 hour work load. If you invest too much time, you will sometimes burn out very fast. I was most successful with projects I worked for 1-2 years on figuring out how to run them, but without a need to really do them because I had an income from somewhere else. This is also related to the pareto principle of just doing the things that have a real impact.

You may have heard the phrase "build it and they will come..."

I like to say "build a LIST and the MONEY will come"

Focus on building a high quality list first. Everything else you want to do can be funded from an email list.

Don't know how to build one? I've put together a simple step-by-step video series that walks you through the exact tools I use and recommend (no hype. no BS) This is simply how the big bucks are made online. All those hypey softwares and trainings are just ways to monetize that list and distract from the real way 99% of marketers are making their big incomes. Build a list FIRST. Focus on learning and mastering: traffic, conversion, and copywriting.

Here's my "Single Piece of Advice"...

Stop wasting your time with useless crap (like trolling), and start putting more effort into what improves your business.
I don't call people out on their signature, I call people out on ironic signatures.

It's not that they have outrageous claims in their signatures that prompts me to respond, it's that they claim to make $165,000 a month with trillions of visitors, and in the post, they will ask how to get traffic and make a dollar on their site. Do you see the irony?

This entire forum is a waste of time, so if you're on it, you're already guilty of that. i come from time to time to point out the neverending staggering stupidity and irony of WF signatures, while at the same time entertaining some of you who still have a little sense of humor left.

Focusing on writing better emails that have more "persuasive punch" behind them.

Too many people were telling me to only provide free stuff and when you promote you'll get tons more sales. I tried that. Little to not results.

Now I promote in almost EVERY email I send out, and have made more money this way than with what I was doing before.

Of course there is a right and wrong way to promote, but pitching more frequently (in a cool way) is really one of the best pieces of advice I've ever gotten.

If you haven't started building lists it is the fastest way to send traffic to where you want it to go.

When sending out broadcasts, make sure you send the same email message out at least 3 times on a couple of days. You can change the subject line and possible a few things in the body of the email message if you want to.

With all the spam blockers and other things that affect people who read your emails, people have all kinds of interruptions and before you know it your email message is among a mass deletion. It is harder and harder to get your messages read.

Changing the subject line will give you more opportunities to find the subject line that works the best on getting the attention of the reader.

I have found that the 2nd and 3rd emails which are almost identical to the 1st email get opened a lot more than the first email.

    Best regards,
    Steve

Value Your Customers! Many businesses fail to realize how much revenue they lose due to poor customer service (or maybe just average customer service). Treat your customers like GOLD and they will not only continue doing business with you, but they will also become your raving fans and inbuilt sales team and ongoing traffic generators!

Always try to OVERdeliver rather the underdeliver or just doing the bare minimum to get by. Your customers will feel your care and appreciation for them and will reward you greatly.

Offer just one product or service on your home page.

I used to attempt to sell a variety of products on homepages of my websites. After many different tests, I've concluded this is not the best strategy, at least in my model which is product creation followed up by email marketing.

I've found that offering fewer products on my homepages with more killer copy describing those products always translated into higher sales.

I believe this is because, "It's all about focus", and "narrowing down your niche".

Instead offering a huge range of products with minimal descriptions about each one, if you offer just one product or one set of highly related products you can really laser focus on one super important set of benefits and do a much better job of answering all the possible questions your visitors may have about the product, helping to persuade the decision process in the end.

You don't have to try sell all your products at once. You can always offer more products to your customers from other web pages or by using follow-up email marketing.

You just have to be real and provide good value. When you do that, you build that relationship and there is an element of trust there.

That's when you can sell high ticket items. Obviously, don't sell them any old rubbish just because it's expensive, or you'll lose that trust you've built up.

Of course if you get to a level where you really know what you're doing, you can coach people. Customers will always pay more for coaching than just products, I know I have.
