I've got it all figured out!-But don't know what to do. I seek advice.
I have been trying to start an online business for,quite some time now. I have experienced what most newbies go through like being taken advantage of, loosing a lot of money, feeling totally overwhelmed, T.M.I., foolishly believing some of these dam good & expertly written sales letters, and failing miserably.
Surprisingly, I still have as much determination and drive as I did when I started. I have always known I will be very successful online. It's just a matter of when and I have decided, it's now.
During this experience, many times I have been asked, "what are your interests", or "what are you an expert in". I always tried thinking "Out side the box". I love hiking and camping, skiing, sports, being a Dad, amongst other things. But, I just could not get excited (Business wise) about anything I came up with.
My biggest problem has been money. To get the best training/education takes money. Due to these economic difficulties construction (Electrician) has one of the highest unemployment rates in the US and yes I'm laid off. Over the last couple of years I've been "out" more than working' which is also one of the driving forces behind this career change. Another, I had a freak accident and broke my leg and shattered my right ankle a few years ago. It gets harder for me each day working heavy construction; I must do this for me, I have to do this for Sam, my daughter. I am a single Dad, financially it has been very, very difficult recently. I worry I may be getting close to loosing the battle, repossession,eviction? I thought, that's it I must do something, anything, even if it's wrong I must move forward and try to make some money online. I prayed, placed it in Gods hands.
Then it hit me, I am a licensed Master Electrician. If your thinking, you should have thought about that long ago, yes, but I still had to figure out a way to take advantage of this and how it will help me earn online.
I have figured out what I will sell, and have some super idea's about a web site. I am so excited by the possibilities These idea's pass all litmus tests. Additionally, not only will I sell this product nationally, I will sell locally which will enable me to physically install the product/products (As a licensed electrician) in my local area. Especially in the beginning as the money I earn will enable me to take my idea's further.
My question:I often see online "Go to this site or that site and set up your own website or blog. Shoot I still don't know exactly how to do that properly,or set up a squeeze page to create a list, and how to take files I have obtained and transfer them to the site. I need to because as I mentioned I'm broke and without a site I can't make any sales. I'm in a catch 22.Yes, I could make the most silly looking blog or site but I fear it will be so bad that I will do more harm than good. I would appreciate any help and advice. Also, if there is anyone in Rhode Island, near by Connecticut or Massachusetts who may want to help out, please let me know. Boy, I loath sounding so desperate, but yea I really could use some help. I also make this solum promise: When I reach my goals and achieve success, I will often search this forum and elsewhere, so I can reach out and help those in need as someone once did for me.
