Is it ok to include affiliate links in Warrior Forum threads?

Hi guys,

I've been working full-time in the internet marketing space for just about two years now (and have been reading/learning about it for around 5 years). I feel 'qualified' now to give advice to others and have been considering putting some guides together to help people who are new to IM. There's so many shady characters out there - I want to create something that's honest, respected and very helpful to newbies.

I am considering posting some of those guides here, for free. But I wondered, is it ok to include affiliate links in posts here on the Warrior Forum?

    No - it isn't allowed at all.

    There are some legitimate ways of doing that, Mike. And there are even some legitimate ways of doing that and including affiliate links in them, if that's your objective (you can do that in a "free WSO", for example). But not as "posts" at all. It's a discussion forum, not an article directory. "Guides" don't really belong here as forum posts, and they're regularly removed, partly because threads like that almost inevitably come across as self-promotional, one way or another, with or without affiliate links in them.

    It is not allowed to post affiliate links and it's also not allowed to post your free guides in any thread other than a paid thread, such as in Classified or a WSO. You are also not allowed to drop links in threads to your own sites. Self promotion is not allowed in general. Affiliate links are also not allowed in signatures.
