Anyone here using a Twitter auto-poster?

I see a lot of very "active" Twitter marketers but I'm under the impression most of them are using auto-poster/drip-feed style methods. How many of you use these? Any success? I'd love to use something like that since I don't have the time to be on Twitter much.

I'm using Twitter. Only recently joined and most definitely not a gu-ru! I have discovered that people follow you even if you don't follow them. Don't know if that's good or bad ;-)

I'm trying not too push business too much but just post a few words about what's going on in my life. I guess it interest some people as I've got 52 followers.

I started by blindly following anyone who was pushing a business but now I only follow those who make interesting post. I think if you treat it like some kind of a dinner party where you discuss everything and anything and occasionally someone says what do you do for a living and hey presto a warm contact.

    Andrew,
I use automation anywhere I can. I use my own application that my cousin developed and it automates everything - the tweets themselves that are relevant, following people, unfollowing people. It works great but this isn't about my tools. It's just to say that if you know what your target market is, and you go after it, then you'll have a following that's super targeted. It's great to have a large following (especially if it's all automated) but it's even better if they're targeted.
I for one don't use twitter for personal stuff. I only tweet about interesting stuff that's relevant to my target market because I want to give them great content. You should too. And it works. My recent account is for internet marketers and it averages a thousand new followers every week. Other niches average smaller numbers. I don't know why but that's what I've seen.
Until such time as I am willing to sell my application your best automation tools are twollow, tweetlater and also twitter karma for cleaning up your followers list.
I also suggest looking at twitterpacks to find out what are people's interest so you can target your twitter marketing.

    Best of luck

I use a WP plug-in that automatically posts a link to Twitter when I post a new article or when I update one.

However I acutally Tweet much more than my auto-poster posts.

I use Tweetlater because my shop (TinkerAndPo on Etsy - Eco friendly fingerless gloves and accessories) sells seasonal items that only people in the southern hemisphere would find useful right now (fingerless gloves). I set my tweets to post when I'm asleep to reach those in Australia and New Zealand.
