    Here's what I'd do.
    • Keep up the guest blogging and regular posting on your site.
    • Only bother to write guest posts on authority sites. Make these the best possible posts you can write. Take your time.
    • Become active in some coffee related forums. Be helpful and add value.
    • Google+. There's a few good coffee communities there you can promote on. Again, value first.
    • Comment on other authority coffee blogs when possible.

    And most importantly...

Bring visitors back to your site again and again. Collect their email addresses, build a list!

Edit: I just saw you made another post saying you have a list. Get as many people onto this as possible. Email them regularly (multiple times a week.) Don't spam.

Out of curiosity, what are your traffic numbers and how long have you been working on the site?

But for heaven's sake not with the kind of pop-up you're using now, which is more likely simply to drive people away, and therefore lose you money!

I intend it helpfully, not critically, but you need to get your site right before you start attracting floods of traffic to it. "Site before traffic". Always.

I don't mind popups if they're not spammy, to be honest.

I'm not sure about Aweber but GetReponse allows you to set up the opt-in form so it only pops up every X amount of days, and after the user has been on the site for X amount of seconds. Helps make the pop-up form a bit less annoying.

My blogs are really just tools to get people onto my email list. The pop-up has been the best way to do that so far. Sure, there are people that will hit the back button as soon as the popup comes on their screen, but as far as I'm concerned, the people that will complain about a popup that's shown once every 30 days aren't the kind of people I want on my list anyway. I'd imagine they're going to complain about everything else I do as well...

Although sometimes I land on sites with popups on every single page and I can't help but wonder what the heck is going through the website owner's head

    The website seems really good.

You should focus on made some great reviews of specific products on a weekly basis, really great reviews and then communicate via twitter to the producer about your review.

If you do it in Twitter @brand they will receive the news, and also all their followers will read it.

If you do it steady on a weekly basis you will get many Coffee machines lovers to see your website.

They are a stable base where to start.

the website has been going for around 2 months and I am getting around 50-60 visitors a day... around 10 of those are from organic methods. There's only 20 posts on there at the moment though, i guess the organic traffic will increase as the content increases.

I have no idea re-advertising though lol. I don't know where to start or what.. best bet might be loads of content for now.

The first thing that I noticed about your site is how it's not easy to view the actual articles without scrolling. The header takes up so much space and really cuts into your valuable site property. You might consider replacing the header (which adds no value now) with a slider that features the most relevant or recent site articles. In that way, you content is right at the top where it can be seen without scrolling. This will keep more people on your site.

I can't figure out what your site is for. I know its about coffee, but it has a lot of stuff going on on the home page. I bet your articles are good, but its hard to click on them fast enough to get the article you want to read.

There are some small things design wise that might be changed up, like your top menu spacing, but mostly it seems to lack a single purpose that is to the advantage of the reader. it mostly seems to be setup to the advantage of the owner.

i can see where you are coming from but the overall impression i have got from the site so far has been good... for example, i currently have a zero bounce rate and over 2,000 people have visited.

This typically means that you have the analytics code there twice (once in the header and once in the footer?) - but if it isn't that, then it's certainly some other technical issue giving you a seriously false reading, Bruich: I promise you that nobody has a 0% bounce-rate from 2,000 visits without the figure being a technical error of some kind!

Actually, your ad placement in right hand column beside the article works for me.

Although you might earn more from each page if you were to actually create a list of available Amazon products to complement each article, complete with description and image and reason they should buy that item and include it within or at the end of the article. In that way, the ads would be integrated, rather than tacked on.

      Hello Bruich76,

I actually like your blog....I for one love coffee so I would be a reader ;-) Especially if I'm in the market for a coffee / espresso maker, I would want to read a good review.

Solid advice from above! Becoming an active member on the popular forums will always keep you informed on the newest trends even new coffee machines. Perhaps if you become an authority you can contact a small but popular coffee vendor and ask for special coupons for your subscribers.

He's right your home page is real busy. My eyes were kind of all over the place, just a little better organization and layout and you should be just fine.

My eyes were a lot less busy my friend...better organization. The only other thing I would consider is your menu bar. They are large buttons, ever though about a dynamic nav bar? The ones when you hover over they drop down?

      Just a thought.

I think your site is pretty good (in fact it made me want a cup of coffee!).
One idea to consider adding to your business model is to try selling some coffee related physical products via FBA on Amazon. I see you have some Amazon affiliate ads on the site but the FBA sales could yield a much higher return, depending on your inventory costs of course.
One of the main FBA advantages of course is that Amazon's site gets huge buyer traffic, many looking for gormet coffee, grinders and other coffee appliances, etc.

I have heard some people say that buying aged domain names can help.
I honestly don't know or have an experience with that, but I did buy some
sites from here about 2 years ago...somebody wso, and haven't done anything
with the domain or site. I would definitely sell it, but maybe the other warriors
will tell you if that's a good idea or not.

    coffee bean grinder .net
    Coffee Bean Grinder
    almost 2 years old
It has had a website on it but never developed it much.
    2,400 exact match
    1.23 a click

FYI: I had nothing to do with the design of the site....like I said..I bought it.

Something someone told me before, and I noticed on your website..don't have a lot
of stuff that needs to load....video's/pics etc. on the home page.....it takes a long
time to load....you have a lot of video / slider things going on. Personally it was taking
so long to load..that I'd just hit back and google something else about coffee...ya know.

Another thing...(my opinion) I would just scratch the forum.
It says the last post was 3 months ago by the administrator.
It changes the visitors opinon on the whole site when they see that.

    The forum will either

    Help you

or Hurt you. with only 2 posts from 3 months ago from the administrator......I think it's hurting you. Even if it had 100 posts....if people aren't posting on it at least once a day...it looks like a fake forum...

    Morning,

    Just came across this post.

Looked at some of the reivews, ie,

Tassimo Reviews T12 Coffee Machine TAS1202GB - KOFFSTER

which is nice but how are you monetizing the page?

I do see the category Products Archive - KOFFSTER which ties to Amazon.co.uk .

Thing is, you main site - no optins, no way to build up a relationship with folks who are fond of that beverage of life. So were I you, I'd have an optin/gift/etc to offer people so you can get them on your list.

Next, do you have a social site for your coffeeizing? A free FB group perhaps, some place to where you can automatically post coffee goodness?

feedly. Read more, know more. lets you pull in all the popular Coffee News RSS feeds, and then you can use http://bufferapp.com to automatically schedule posts as well.

    Alltop - Top Coffee News

has a list of the top popular coffee sites including

I Need Coffee - By Coffee Fans, For Coffee Fans!

    Pure Coffee Blog

    Dear Coffee, I Love You.

CoffeeGeek - News, Reviews, Opinion and Community for Coffee and Espresso

If you don't have any giveaways, you can look for Coffee PLR and offer that as a gift as well.

The best way to get traffic besides paid is to network where your customers are and have links in your Signature to drive peeps back to your site. It worked back in 1997 and works to this day.

    Hope that helps!

There are so many advertisements on these blogs listed here, especially Pure Coffee Blog. And, maybe that's for the best. After all, anyone looking for a coffee related blog is likely in the mood to purchase gourmet coffee online. Although it seemed like a lot of ads, if that's normal for the coffee niche, then I'd role model that.
