Ecommerce, without a doubt. (ie, selling and shipping physical products)

Failing that, affiliate/CPA offers with paid traffic is always a good bet!

Well when it come to make money online, people usually complicate to much.
I was in the same position, but I learn one simple model.

    1:Learn
    2: Do
3: Teach other to do same as you.

This is the easiest model..., it can be listbuilding, traffic generation... affiliate...

Not to be pedantic, but I find it interesting that nobody on this thread (including the OP) has actually given an example of a business model. People have certainly given plenty of examples of techniques, tactics, or methods -- all of which can be used for traffic generation, monetization or other business goals. These might play a role in a business model, but they are far from being business models in themselves.

I'd also suggest that there is no such thing as a "best business model" -- or even a "best method". What's "best" is highly dependent on both the business environment as well as the talents and skills of the business itself. For those familiar with American football, the question would be akin to asking, "What's the best offensive play?" Well, if it's 1st and goal on the one yard line and your quarterback has a broken arm, it's probably not going to be a Hail Mary pass from a shotgun formation. On the other hand if it's 3rd down and 30 on the 50 yard line, your team is down by 6 points with just two seconds to go in the game and your quarterback is Joe Montana that Hail Mary pass just might be the best play after all. Perhaps a silly analogy, but I think it hold true for both sports and in business.

Well, every person has a different "best business model". The truth is, what's best for them might not exactly be best for you.

What are your skills? What do you love doing? Do you love creating videos, or talking on the camera? Then create video courses, or maybe a Vlog.

Are you good at writing content? Maybe fiction? Then you can publish books in Kindle. If you're more of the non-fiction type, again, publish non-fiction books, or maybe sell Ebooks on Clickbank. Or maybe just start a niche blog on a topic you like.

But always make sure that you own your business, 100%. So, if your business depends on, say, a couple of affiliate products that might be taken out of the market the next day, you're doing it wrong.

If your only source of income is from the traffic you get out of your Google rankings, you're again doing it wrong because they can decide to derank your site at any time, and you can't question them.

So, create something, own it, and make money from it. That's the best business model out there. Bill gates is worth Billions today because he created a product that he then aggressively marketed all over the world.

Depends on your income goals and passions. If you are a content writer maybe the information marketing model is more for you, if you like to sell and help others the coaching model can be for you. You have to define what you really like to do and what is the income you want and then find the business model that combines both results for you.

List Building is not a Business Model.

It is a way for you to communicate and share the love with your list.

Now about your post, there really isn't a 'best' business model for everyone. Everyone has different goals, interests, mindset and money blue prints.

What might be Edlund may not be good for kilgore.

This question keeps resurfacing on WF very often.

    But in truth...

Not everything you'll do will become a success.

Somethings are there for you to learn and if you learn your lessons in life, you will graduate to the next level.

Many of you come here because you have asked for something better.

Maybe you have asked for a better lifestyle.

No thing is being held from you but you will have to learn 'lessons.

These lessons are not restricted to just marketing and IM in general.

These lessons are also part of your 'daily' life.

    What do I mean?

Well, gratitude has a lot to do with it. If you have a roof over your head, clothes on your back and a refrigerator with food in it (no matter how much food) then you are a success compared to billions of people in this world who don't have those things.

And if you can't be grateful to God for what you already have, then how do you expect to have more?

If you have a job right now, then be grateful and do the best job that you can for your employer. Many people claim to hate their jobs and want to become their own bosses.

They do just enough work to NOT get fired and expect to come here and strike it rich.

    No.

    It doesn't work that way.

Do a great job for your employer because your performance and your level of gratitude makes the world of difference here in your IM career.

    Don't believe me?

    Well one day you will.

Well, according to me, it completely depends on you what is your target. All whatever you have mentioned are good. If you want to advertize your products as well as promote, then no doubt eCommerce is the best option. Apart from this, you can also prefer the list building, because it is one of the best and long business. About Affiliate marketing, then it is also the best way to make huge money with the help of different client's project.
So, that is the reason, why I am saying what is your target/goal. So, first think about this, then go ahead. Have fun

I know this might sound a little elementary and might not work for everyone, but this is exactly how I’ve made all my money over the last couple of months. I apologize if I over explain some of these parts but I figure I would give a detailed description for anyone that is interested.

My business started with list building in the personal development niche.

So to get everything started, I created an opt-in page, giving away a lead magnet/free gift.

For the opt-in page, I went the easy way and used Leadpages, but now just use it for easy split testing and then once I have something that converts well, create a page on my own wordpress site. Of course you can also outsource it for around $5.

For the opt-in page, I give away a free gift that I know converts well and the people in that niche are interested in using. I use a two-step opt-in process to get a higher conversion rate to get people’s email addresses (List Building 101)

I used a free meditation as my lead magnet for the personal development niche.

I created the meditation myself but you can outsource that pretty easily on Fiverr or on any of the PLR sites out there.

Just make sure it is of good quality so you start building a relationship with your newly built list right away.

At this point I connect my opt-in page to an autoresponder & create an autoresponder series.

An autoresponder is an email service client that allows you to collect a person's email that they gave you on the opt-in page in exchange for the free gift you offered them.

You are collecting their email address in order to give them more information/content related to the free gift you offered them.

You can setup emails in the autoresponder that automatically get sent out to the people that opted-in.

These emails will be a combination of content and promotions.

So I created a list of emails that link to different website pages. These pages included:

Content I created and posted on my own website
Affiliate products (Products on Clickbank as well as product launches)
    Videos
    Audios
    Blog Posts
    Facebook
    etc.

So the way I made my revenue was from:

    Affiliate promotions
    Selling solo ads
    Product launch funnels
And also from personal coaching where I charged a set fee to help other people get their own list built.

I really had to do all of these types to make it a sustainable business. I find that just promoting affiliate products can be very difficult if you can’t give a lot of bonus content. Of course, I’m sure other people have had much better success than me with affiliate products but it was only earning about $.30 EPC (Earning Per Click) for most evergreen affiliate products.

Solo ads where driving a lot more of my revenue since it was earning me around $.75 EPC.

I also gave feedback and training for everyone that bought a solo ad from me, so it took some time, but it is a nice steady income.

Also, if you feel comfortable with coaching that can be very lucrative. This is exactly what ninosem said about learn, do, teach others to do the same as you. This has been the best income source out of all of them but I’m spending more time now on creating my own products to increase my ROI for any money spent on traffic.

    I hope this helps.

It depends what you're into. I personally like niche blogging in conjunction with list building (for larger niche sites), but I need to work on the active list building thing -- a goal of mine for 2015.

Personally, based on the choices above, it would be a membership site where you offer an affiliate program to help you market your membership and offering free or $1 trial in order to build your list. You can even accept Amazon and Affiliate advertising on your site. In other words, you can offer all 4 if you want to. No need to limit yourself to just one. Multiple streams of income is the model that would maximize earnings.

Create your own product, and find super affiliates who do all of that stuff to sell the product for you.

I'm trying my best to sell my product myself, I think I need some help though and will welcome affiliates. It's a big ticket item in a niche where I'm blazing a trail. Legitimate work from home jobs. PM me if you want to to help each other get paid. I'll pay affiliates $100 a sale.

    Hello Edlund88;

The easy answer is a membership product. That will give you recurring income IF YOU'RE GIVING VALUE for the membership fee.

Affiliate marketing (including Amazon) can be used as tools to create your own list which has the potential to give you another source of long term income or if you build it right - income on demand.
