Will an Affiliate program kill your quality content site ranking?

I have a site with great content, I started to explore the possibility to add some affiliate ads to get some income. Will that kill the ranking of my site, if so, how to avoid this? Thank you and happy holidays!

No. Don't have a billion of them though. Just offer something that you think would actually help your reader. It's more reader oriented than index oriented.

An article of mine (with an embed youtube video) of mine ranks 2nd for a targeted keyword of mine and it's a review.

I guess the difference is that it's an honest review and not a "money-making-review" and g0ogle can understand this cause my blog has around 150 posts - no reviews - and around 10-20 review posts.

So I suppose affiliate reviews won't kill your rankings if your blog doesn't raise a red flag saying "hey there I just mention random sh*t for different programs and I choose as best the one that makes me the most money".

Make your site seem natural and they will work

Jenny, please stop spamming this section of the forum with your content-related posts. This is the second time I'm having to report you in under a minute (and apparently you have to wait a minute between reports).

    Thank you and happy holidays,

Lots of websites have ads on them and they still rank well in the SERPS without any issues at all.

What happens sometimes is that website owners completely obliterate their content with ads so that the articles cannot even be read, so that is uncool. But if you just go with some ads in your sidebar or even native ads mixed into your content there shouldn't be any troubles.

There is nothing like quality content ranking.

    Quality content, Yes!
    Ranking your site, Yes!

There are lot and lots of such sites comfortably ranking on the SERP.

You can hire a professional in the web design and affiliate field to create a high converting landing page for promoting your affiliate products.

Thank you all for your reply. I was just worried that my site rank can be ruined because I add a few affiliate links. Now, I'm thinking between affiliate ads or affiliate products, will it make a difference? I mean for google penalizing a site using any of the 2? Thank you!
