I'm going to suggest you keep it simple for now. Really simple.

1. Select a market.

What problem requires a solution in the market?

2. Free Course Delivered by Newsletter

Solve the problem with a free e-course; monetized, of course.

3. Send Traffic

Use YT and social networks like FB, G+, and Twitter to send traffic to your squeeze page.

Nice and Simple

Do that, you'll make money. Plain and simple.

Hi,
I m trying to learn about IM ( is it internet marketing? right), to show my boyfriend that girls can make money online too. Currently, he works two jobs and we have little time to spend together. I would like to start making money on internet - not to impress him but to have more time together. Can you recommend some services that can help to make money online?

I'll do my best to learn about IM. I guess I'll look around in this forum to find some ideas where to start. So far I'm considering building sites for Adsense - well, not by myself - I've seen some offers on this forum.

This is good advice, and it is a relatively easy (and basic) way to make money online. There are variations to this, such as adding your own products into the mix, but the OP asked for "basics." The method you prescribe is about as basic as it gets, while still being an effective way to make money online.

Choosing the right field to promote is certainly a good start, as you want to enjoy what you're doing right? Keywords can be tricky, as Google are constantly changing their algorithms, so what works today might be ineffective tomorrow. To combat that choose longer tailed keyword phrases which like you mentioned have low competition. I would only use ads to YT videos, as they're a distraction in blogs/sites I find and the returns are slow and small. List building is crucial and having a good relationship with your audience. Choosing the right products for your niche is important not only because it makes perfect sense, but it may be appealing to the people who signed up to be in your list. You wouldn't want to selling building blocks to someone who signed up for a health program would you

2. Create a product or become an affiliate
3. Build a website with opt-in
4. Generate traffic and capture leads
5. Maintain good relationship with your list. And send offers to your own list

Internet marketing simply means selling. might it a product or a service. Decide what to sell on the internet. and then create a website related to what you sell. Write informative articles, build list or subscriber, and start promoting your products.

Have something to sell, have a place to sell it, get people to see it, make money. IM is where you leverage the internet to do just that...noting more.

You + Perceived Value = Money. {Y+PV=M}

thanks for suggestion , i spend my all day just reading your comment and other threads that you link here .i really learn alot from you guys . and i still have question in my mind

1. how much do i need to invest at first if i would make one . including domain+hosting+themes+plugins ?

2. does making squeeze page still needs a seo ? or just getting a traffic from social network sites ?

off topic question . : does this forum got any notifications if someone comments in your thread ? i just look back to this thread to see if someone comment already .

Just my 2 cents.

One of the biggest mistakes I made was NOT building a huge List from the git go.

I got sucked into SEO and CPA/adsense and was making a Mint for awhile.

I did not focus on developing my 'own traffic' with Email Marketing.

I suggest you start out with that, no matter what

Great advice.

I positively cringe every time I see a beginner talk about blogs and/ or SEO. It took me years to learn SEO and I'm still at it. Blogs can make a killing, and I know it can be achieved via SEO, but I'd never recommend the route to a newcomer or advise anyone rely on it. Google, God love her, is a fickle, complicated lady. Wait - no, that's my wife. Google's tricky. Nope, still my wife. I give up - just stick to the basics if you're new.

Domain - A dot.com cost $ 10.69 for the year from Namecheap. Look for a coupon some times you can get a domain cheaper.

Hosting _ $8.99 a month on veerotech. Stay away from Hostgator and the other hosting companies owned by endurance group.

Themes - There are hundreds of free themes from Wordpress.org you can choose from when you build your site. A good way to save money in the beginning.

Plugins - Free again if you want to save money.. Once your web-site is built you can choose the plugins you want. You can pay for pro versions but if you are on a budget you can save on themes and domains.

You can spend more or less money in any area you choose. The entry level is really low in the amount to get started compared to building in the offline world some.

Not so much about finding a good niche if you are in selling as finding an amazing product or service to sell. And, the niche could be anything then, so long as it's popular and people want to buy it.

You are planning on learning from scratch?

With all due respect...

Do yourself a favor, pay for a course or join a system that will teach you all this stuff. It isn't cheaper to go around trying to learn for free. It's harder.

There are too many little pieces of the puzzle to try and explain in one post.

This way could take years to learn.

I am not saying to not ask questions here because that is what this place is about. But you are trying to get answers to all the questions in one post and this will be harder for you to piece together.

I have been online since 2005 and all that stuff that you listed above is too overwhelming for my mind.

This 'make money' thing is actually quite easy to do but it will appear very overwhelming in the beginning (especially if you are trying to get everything perfect).

Just take this one step at a time and keep going until you get where you want to go!

You will make mistakes and that is part of this whole lesson. But if you persevere, you will learn from your mistakes and learn like we all do from 'trial and error'.

This is certainly one approach and is very popular but you don't have to follow that process exactly like that.

The main point is to create a site that offers something of value to your visitors - don't focus on creating a sales page and try to sell cold like that. People need to be warmed up first, to get to know and trust you a bit before they will buy anything.

That's about 20% of it. The other 80% is all about backend marketing - which is where you will make the bulk of your money from. Be sure to learn 3x as much as this concept than just a simple squeeze page then an offer.

Picking a product to promote is the easy part.

Knowing which ad places are worth it to consistently use for consistent sales is the challenging part.

Once you know how and where to market products and still make a profit each time is the key to your success.
