Hey everyone,

I was just wondering what your opinion is about this subject.

100% (Says Tom from a Utopian parallel existence.)

If you want to increase your open rate, there are plenty of methods. In my experience:

    - You need to laser-target your subscribers,
    - Feed them with regular updates (on many lists, I have designated days for broadcasts),
    - Provide killer content, and
    - Know exactly what engages them.
    - Build a relationship. Be human, let your personality shine.

Then you have tricks. One of the favorites being the headline you use.

Hope some of that helps. I could add more, but you likely know your way around the subject pretty well anyway.

I would say that depends on what kind of list method you are going with.
Churn and burn will have a lot lower open rates then the ones building a relationship with their list.

It also depends on what niche you are in.

Avg open depends on your type of niche... but for MMO its high because you are probably sending it to people who are desperate... and for software ( personal experience ), I get about 45% out of 68k emails which is VERY GOOD. Click Rate is a bit lower than open rate
