Right now whats hot is auto blogging, twitter and CPA stuff.

I wonder what next year will bring us - there will be the new Google Wave maybe if its ready yet.

How about targeting the chinese market ???

How about more hardcopy marketing - converting digital content to physical books, recordings etc ?

What do you guys predict for next year as a NEW major trend ?

One blog that I think is great for studying new trends is Techcrunch, so definitely bookmark that one. I think it will be all about Google next year - wave, voice, chrome OS, etc.

Oh definitely for me is the chrome os google is coming out with. They are going after MS and Apple big time and to see the battle will be interesting to say the least.

But I think the end result will be that the pie will just get bigger. There will be a niche for google fans (ala Apple fans).

I hope chrome OS does not result in a tidal wave of linux malware.

I think China is the biggy.

Yes, if China can start to communicate with the rest of the World, things could start to change dramatically. Right now, there doesn't seem to be much language crossover, but as language tools improve, we may find it easier to communicate with the Chinese.

    1997.

In any given year, there is a segment of the population that is interested in nostalgia. They've moved forward with their lives, and part of them misses where they were.

I'm going to drop a major secret on you here.

The sweet spot for that nostalgic market segment is thirteen years ago.

The human brain evolves in 12 to 14 year cycles. When we get nostalgic, we are most nostalgic about the same point in a previous cycle of our brain development. Once you hit your mid-twenties, you get nostalgic about your early teens. In your forties, you get nostalgic about your mid-twenties. In your early fifties, you get nostalgic about your forties.

So target an age group, and offer them things from thirteen years ago. You'll tend to hit most of them at the sweet spot of the bell curve.

I think that someone will come up with some sort of a new social media think like Twitter and it will become very known just like Twitter is.

There is always something new online because there are a lot of people who have great ideas and take action.

There will be something new that will be even better then Twitter or any other social media technique.

There will continue to be tremendous growth among cell-phone applications. Also, many innovative marketing mechanisms will start to pop up....Ultimately, you will see more advertising directly aimed at your cell phone (like it or not!).
