Can anyone help at all with where to advertising in the marijuana niche?

    Haha your not wrong. I can't find many places to advertise and one of my friends got *duped* intobuying a established affilate site but don't know how to get paid traffic sent to it. as it is not ranking for any keywords. There must be cheep method for traffic just don't know where to start looking. ��

    Have you tried negotiating ad placement deals in heavily trafficked marijuana-related Web forums with large active membership bases and top ranking threads / pages in Google for relevant keywords?

    I was in this niche its more difficult then it looks in terms of monetizing it. I think the best way to go about it is by creating your own product and building a list.

    I totally agree with the threads above. The way you use words is very important in this niche, so instead of saying marijuana you can use "cannabis". The word cannabis gets 110,000 searches every month with very low competition.

    You can also include smoking pipes to monetize this niche, I know people who'll spend more than $700 for a smoking pipe. But you don't have to use the words "smoking pipe" instead use "bong". The word bong gets 60,500 monthly searches with low competition.

    The PPC on Google Adwords is ridiculously cheap, only $0.11 for the word bong. There are affiliate programs for this stuff. It's a good niche my friend, you just need to be smart and understand the language weed smokers use.

      The affiliate programs are all pure crap for anything to do with cannabis, bongs etc... Better off building your own digital product IMO.

      And the low competition that your seeing, are you talking organic in the serps? The competition level in google adwords is not for organic search.

    Lots of people into that sort of thing on Facebook. You could start a marijuana support group/page with sharable memes. And, link back to your site. Pin your marijuana related memes on Pinterest. That's another likely source of traffic. It's a popular subject online and the online world is a very liberal place. You'll find lots of traffic if you just take the time to get the word out about it.

      People who would be looking for this online are not going to be buying an ebook about anything. They are looking for product or laws or supplies. Weedmaps is your best bet right now. When legalization happens on a more widespread basis in the US, Weedmaps will have some competition, but right now, they don't.

        And, people will want to know the applicable laws for this substance as they will usually differ for someone who lives in that state (resident, established home address) versus tourist. Publishing that type of information on a blog or even a booklet (to be sold or given away to email subscribers) is likely to get some good response from those seeking the type of information you mentioned.

    Hello Hypnosten,

    I know for a fact that this is a very profitable niche and I will give you an example.
    A while back a guy made a FaceBook fan page about marijuana recipes. A ton of people liked and shared the page. The guy told his fan base to share their recipes (of course he put a disclaimer on the fan page saying that anything they posted would be the administrators property). So a bunch of people shared and what he did was make an eBook of all the recipes that people posted. There was NO INVESTMENT and practically NO TIME REQUIRED because all he did was COPY and PASTE... COPY and PASTE. Boom! That guy became rich and now he's living a life in leisure on some make believe island. SERIOUSLY! There is money to be made in this niche.
