New to internet marketing, advice needed

Hey All,

I would appreciate some friendly advice if possible. My internet marketing career is a week old and counting.

My name is Ian Welsh, I am 28 years of age, I am a father of 4 from Australia and I have paranoid schizophrenia. I really want to make a good go of this internet marketing business. But I am not sure where to start or how to go about it.

If you could please check my website out. Home - 1stopshop4u.com and please tell me where and how I can improve my site.

Is it really possible to make money from this kind of site. Where have I gone wrong/right.

I would really appreciate the insight of people much smarter and know a whole lot more about this kind of thing than I do.

Much appreciated,

Ian Welsh.

I would personally change the font. Add some buttons or banner that will sensationalize your brand and your products. Add an introduction, etc. Just some things off the top of my head.

I'm a Noob too but in my honest opinion I think you definitely need actual content. You cannot build a page, display some ads and expect people to buy things from you. You are giving them no reasons to do so, not even a short review of the products!

What's the point of the website? You're trying to make an electronic online store? It seems like your website lacks a sense of direction. There's no content and the categories seem quite random. In my opinion, you should try to solve an actual need in the marketplace, or create a service the simplifies a complex process. Don't be afraid to take it slowly, there's no need to rush, do the research, and make sure your idea is solid before you start working on a website!

Not bad for someone who just started internet marketing a week ago. The site looks OK to me. Not the best looking but a good start.

The most important thing Ian is now to learn how to market that site. Know who your target audience are and then have these people view your site.

You can do this when you market with pay per click ads.
