The Power of Subtraction
Is it me? Is everyone full of shit? Do people get lucky and find some off the wall niche that works for them?
Ive had my own business for over thirty years. The economy has ruined that and now approaching 60, I needed this to work.
Read on.
Article Marketing. Yes, the most effective is ezinearticles, no doubt. Researching good keywords with low competition and high search, about 20-30m a month.
Im fairly decent at the articles, and have written about fifty. I am able to get an article on ezinearticles in spots 1-3 organic. Ive done it a number of times. But funny thing. The keywords that look great, in organice spot one or two ( I have proof) only generated tops, 100 clicks. Sometimes less. How can this be with a search estimate of 20-30M.
One of the products i promoted was the dreaded "jamorama guitar system". Clickbank says the gravity is high, i play the guitar. I wrote convincing articles especially geared to those that want to learn fast. Through my articles and other methods, I sent over 300 targeted people to the jamorama site. Not one conversion.
I also backed these up with PPC. Again I picked keywords with low competition, searches above 20m. I built good campaigns based on good estimates, and got in actuality,2 clicks a day.
I have a twitter account, i have several plugins working that promote my friend count. I have over 2000 people following me on several accounts. I have a good CPA offer that only involves registering at a website. I get over 400, 500 or more hits a day to my site. When they hit my site, they see this free (trageted) offer, all they have to do is sign up at this interesting site.
I get one or two people out of 500 to sign up. Ive changed the ad repeatedly making it more interesting any way possible, nothing. One or two clicks.
One of the top sellers on clickbank is this Twitter program, i forget what its called. The punch line is something like"Would you like to get more followers and make money doing it?" I use tweetdeck and about one out of five people are making this same stupid tweet, which i highly doubt converts.
This is just a few of the things ive done in the last months. I have a website with over thirty affliliate offers arranged, like a shopping site, i have made my own ebook a how to on a popular subject, nothing......
Very discouraging to say the least. Its especially hard to see posts where people are saying its attitude and things like that. You feel like choking someone. I have to admit, i was a hell of alot more positive in the begining. In the begining of every attempt i think, this is going to work. Time after time, all of the things ive learned, just bottom out.
Any successful humanitarians out there?
The power of attraction just aint working here. And ive been working my ass off.
