New Clickbank "relationship niche" lord ...in only 3 weeks!!! WTF?

Clickbanks new relationship product "Obsession Phrases" launched in the first week of December 2014 has today a gravity of 109.

This compares to the other two giants:

Tao Of Badass - Gravity of 104
Text Your Ex Back - Gravity of 100

From zero to hero in less than 3 weeks is pretty impressive. I know that the owner of Obsession Phrases put loads of ads for his/her product on Clickbanks website. Nearly every ad for the last 3 weeks on Clickbank was pointing to Obsession Phrases.

How do you think they achieved such a domination (of such a competitive niche) in such a short space of time?

The had a huge affiliate contest. Other heavyweights in the niche like 'Michael Fiore' and 'Be Irrestible' mailed their enormous lists of completely targeted buyers.

It really couldn't miss, could it? Plus they advertise heavily for affiliates on Clickbank.

Without looking at the product (even though, I might have stumbled upon it previously).

    1) VSL

    2) Great affiliate resources

    3) Great incentives for affiliates to promote (deep funnel, great payouts, low refunds, etc).

    4) Affiliate manager and team for extra assistance

    5) Lots of testing

    6) Boatloads of advertising to get their awesome converter in front of as many affiliates as possible.

And then of course, everyone's favorite four letter word:

    7) Work

Every single affiliate who buys one copy through her/his own affiliate-link (and if the vendor doesn't give out "review copies", there can be a huge number of those), for inspection/assessment purposes, also adds a point on to the gravity figure. For that reason, among others, in these circumstances, especially when a product's new, a high gravity isn't necessarily even an indication that any affiliates are promoting the product at all.

There's no correlation between gravity figures and overall sales numbers, and no correlation between gravity figures and conversion-rates, either.

Clickbank is probably not the only place that they have their ads running at.

They probably recruited a lot of affiliates and JV partners, including their customers.

I would have thought JV's and CB ads will do it!

Question I would ask is the product right for me to promote?

Thats all I am ever interested in

The answer, I suspect, is this. Grandjv have always had an opt in form on their homepage to collect affiliate emails.

Launch new product, email blast to affiliate list, job done.

Not only does one not "have to admit it" , but there isn't actually even a way of knowing whether or not that's collectively so, since conversion-rate information is (rightly) not published by ClickBank.

These guys weren't zero's. They have other offers on CB: Grand JV...

Here's more info on their launch: Affiliate Tools...

They had the resources in place from the start to make their newest offering a success.

As you can see, they collect the email addresses of affiliates all over their JV site. They blasted this to a massive list of affiliates making them aware ahead of time about the product. (and as other people pointed out, they advertised a lot within the CB marketplace)

Reciprocation - these guys mail for other people. Reciprocation is a HUGE part of the launch scene. You mail, they mail.

Just one more reason to start building email lists.
