Instagram is annoying. Just about every network marketer sends automated messages saying: HEY LETS CONNECT ON FACEBOOK!

Instagram is infested with bots. But there are plenty of people who will click your bio clink and possibly optin much faster than on twitter.

Well its still early yet and really won't be able to tell you till the end but for now I am going with both video and affiliates. Video because we are lazy and its easier to tie emotion and watch a video then to read words and also because of the viral nature of social networking sites where people are "hanging out"

All are effective, everybody has different styles and preferences.

For me, it depends on who I'm targeting.

Outside of the internet marketing niche and circles, email marketing seems to be most effective, though for 'new' traffic, Twitter has been my "best performer".

StumbleUpon is the king if your content is great in the way of Mashups.

I don't think there is a magic bullet. I have been chasing the free no work traffic methods for years, and guess what, there is no such thing.

I'm going to stick to the time and tested methods of providing value through forums, blogs and facebook. If I provide value and I'm consistent, then I'll get traffic. Simple

Yes Youtube Marketing is the best way to go in 2015, however it is now difficult to get youtube videos ranked in Google Search Engine.

Already got positive results with Twitter and going to scale that up next week. They also have built in analytics which helps you to measure interactions of your tweets and to get a idea of what's working or not.

There are countless FREE Traffic Methods and all of them work wonderfully.

But here's the thing...

Just because some said traffic strategy works well, it won't mean that it will work for you.

Pick (1) and only one that you feel 'resonates' with you. Don't just blindly go out there and try (10) because you can end up spinning your wheels and not get any traction.

There have been so many traffic methods that other posters have already mentioned above. Pick only one of them that you 'feel' would be a great match for you.

Then go and learn it by 'Doing' it and after you start seeing results like....

1- Traffic
2- Leads
3- Sales

Rinse, Repeat and "Master' this skill.

I saw an old video of the late Jim Rohn that was posted right here in the Mind Warriors section where Jim said 'One' good (or great) idea can make the world of difference in your life.

Now go out and find that 'One" Idea [for yourself] and do it like you would a job (taking consistent daily actions).

Forum marketing still works very well.

I Personally like facebook group's as one of my favorite free methods along with video marketing. Join facebook groups particular to your Niche and post to them daily. For Video Marketing i use screen cast o matic to record videos, its easy and free to use.

I write unique and mega useful content + buy publications with links to my website on mega popular websites. I'm working with websites with traffic over 1M per month and this give me great results - my website grows in serp and additionally I have traffic directly from publications. Of course it's not a free method but very effective. Also I'm using video marketing but less.

Don't forget quality and not quantity. So make unique accounts and reach out to users instead of just spamming links in hope to generate traffic. Focus on startup type networks first since you will generate quality leads instead of chasing after them on major sites.

2. Facebook pages (if one already has ones with substantial likes correlated to your niche)
3. Facebook Groups (provided one doesn't spam and you continually add value)
4. Google+ communities
5. Article Marketing
6. Guest Posting
7. Contextual and ethical commenting on other relevant blogs
8. Reddit (Provided one knows the "karma")
9. Video Marketing (if one knows how to rank your videos on YouTube)

I think social websites is good for effective traffic .

Youtube/Video marketing combined with social marketing and basic SEO principles, which includes things like good use of #hashtags.

I'll go for Pinterest probably because I love looking around there and it's fun.

YouTube/video is continuing to grow and explore.

I recommend making 3-4 minute unboxing/tutorial/how to/problem solving videos all within your niche, publish 2 per week and you'll soon claw in youtube traffic.

On top of that I find traffic coming from youtube to be much higher quality than even Google organic.

Social Media, Youtube, Forums are always a great free traffic sources.

Because the Do-follow link increase the site traffic & page rank at a time, while the No-follow link increase only the site traffic. I am loving this thread. I think there is no thing like free because if it not cost you money but it cost your time. For me the only thing that works is the 'Consistency'. Just do some testing and find out what are free generation methods that works for you. Then stick to it and you are good to go.

A lot of social media talk at the moment. But just make sure you have a converting funnel before you plug on the traffic methods.

I am looking to really dive deeply into Instagram from next week in a totally different niche I think it could work wonders so we will see.

I also think email is not going anywhere if done correctly just think how often you check your own inbox

I will continue to post introductions to articles which lead to my forum, which then has more social media buttons where guests can share the articles.

I love youtube, guest posts are also so important and I try to get influencers to retweet my tweets by including theme in my post and tag theme in my tweets

Each day you can go with one or some forums and posting useful information to them, promote on your posts or signature, this is best way that I am using and getting more good results for my site.

These days the options are nearly endless...

1. Social Media Marketing

Create pages and groups on Facebook, build up a following on Twitter and dish out useful info to become an authority in the niche, use image-sharing sites such as Tumblr and Instagram with catchy graphics and watermarks with your site name on them, build up a brand on social media properties, etc.

2. Video Marketing

YouTube is obviously king here, but there are plenty of other options as well.

3. Niche Related Forums

This is a method that takes a little time and patience to really get rolling, but, when done correctly, it drives tons of quality hits to your pages. Similar to social media, you've really got to share a lot of helpful information and establish yourself as an authority in the niche. Once you've got a bit of rapport you can then drop links subtly. As always, make sure content is quality and helpful to the end user, not just your bottom line.

4. Q&A Sites

This takes a bit more effort these days as you've got to establish yourself and be extremely helpful and promote content both of your creation and the work of others, but sites like Yahoo Answers are still great sources of targeted traffic. Converts very well when done correctly.

When it comes to free traffic I personally prefer to stick to things like forum marketing, blog commenting, SEO and social media.

Keep in mind that with free traffic you're typically going to have to put in A LOT of time (there's a reason why it's free).

The best advice I can give you is to save up some money from working at a job and try and invest that into some kind of paid traffic like banner ads or solo ads, you'll get that traffic on demand and it's much more predictable as you're generally paying for what you get.

I prefer YouTube, Reddit and Twitter. They all work well for me & easy to do.

Get a good reputation on social media platforms such as Twitter or Facebook as a company account, and have promotion apparent but don't push it. Make customers feel like they benefit from following your account/page without using the product it represents, this can be through funny posts, helpful tips, and intriguing (yet related) news. Many products use social media for Q&A and update notifications giving users absolutely no use in becoming a part of that community... unless they are loyal users of that product.

If you want to drive in new users you must entertain them first, and inform them later.

That may sound cheesy but it has worked for me.

Youtube for the win for sure. If done right it can reach a large audience quickly. Sometimes it helps to capitalize on a youtube celebrity. But the content has to be inline with the celebrities viewer base.

I'm focusing on mainly social media sites mainly Facebook, as it links everything else into gaining traffic e.g. Social signals help a lot with SEO so if you use the two wisely you can get traffic from both sources.

Even investing in Facebook ads can help increase rankings, the more social signals you get the more Google loves it.

Getting the formula right with social media is hard at first but the more you learn the easier it gets to get free constant traffic.

Reddit works great for traffic. The traffic you get from Reddit comes in spikes, meaning that you'll receive a bunch of traffic one day and it will die just as easily. But if you do Reddit the right way, that one spike will contain more traffic than you could ever imagine.

Reddit works great for new sites, especially if you can find relevant subreddits to your site. I used to run a tech related website last year and within the first month of launching it, I had more than 100,000 views, all thanks to Reddit. It was actually just one post that made this happened, so imagine if you scale it and post daily...
