What would you charge per call for lead generation to a funeral home

I am currently doing some keyword research for lead generation sites I am building and have found a good one in a near by city for funeral homes. I was wondering if any of you had an idea of what I should charge for every qualified lead I send?

If I had to guess, I would say around $20 - $30 per lead, but I would love to hear some other opinions on this.

While we are on this subject, any input on spas and limo services?

Thanks for your help.

I would suggest that you reach out to the funeral home that
you plan on generating leads for and ask them.

Don't sell yourself short and approach them at $20-$30 per lead
when they might be paying $200-$300 per lead. It's also going to
depend on how hot your leads are.

For example: someone searching for a funeral home to use in the
next 2-3 days is going to be far more valuable than someone
making their own final arrangement plans.

Anyone that has ever had to pay for a funeral knows how crazy
expensive they are. Death is BIG business, and you might very
easily get way more than $20-$30 per lead.

So again, my advice would be to reach out to the funeral homes
you want to sell leads to and ask. You might even be able to get
more by offering to sell exclusively to only 1 particular home.

How to you want to control a "qualified lead I send?" Maybe charge by the number for calls you can send them. If you can find out somehow (eg. Internet forum, talk to them) how many calls they get on average to close a sale, and then charge by the number of calls. Set up a redirected phone number on your site that YOU pay for and you can track.

I have some experience in this market in the UK. One of my clients creates funeral booklets and is making an absolute fortune because funerals are highly profitable.

With this in mind I would start high and let them bid you down.

Focus on the value to them and not the cost per lead to you.

    All the best

Also, take into account other factors such as your own cost to obtain the lead and possibly time of year. Though death is a year round business, there will always be a slump time. Figure out your industry's slow period and cash in on leads during that time. That could drive up the price you could get for each lead during that time of year.

A screened, pre-qualified call for a niche this narrow is worth $100 minimum. Here's one way to qualify callers:

    Mobile Pay Per Call Demonstration

I recently sold this pay per call company - I started it in 2002.

$30 per lead is way too low. Some funerals start at $10K and if you actually provided them with a 'qualified' lead, you should be looking at around $500 if the lead turns into a sale.

    This is just a guestimate.

I market a very powerful SMS Lead Generation System that can be 'customized' to any sales funnel from home biz opps right up to Real Estate.

It has a 'generic' video but this will all change when the system officially launches in 2 weeks. You will be able to add your own videos and sales presentations.

You can even make your leads pay you for an 'application'.

  • Xbarnettx,

You can try calling some funeral homes in your target city to ask them about the following things:

    • Their commission packages for pro sales people;

    • Their popular packages / promos / etc. (you could say you would want to know because you're interested in applying as a sales person); and

    • Of course, while you're at it, you could try and ask for the phone number / mobile / email / fax where you can send your sales arrangement proposals and further discuss related things in detail...

I'm guessing 3 to 5% of their best seller packages / promos with an average lower to mid 5-digit order value and a 15 to 20% conversion would probably be a reasonable price per lead if they offer a 15 to 20% commission to their sales people...
