1-2K a month on T-Shirts is very profitable. Care to share any tips? I'm not asking for your designs, just curious how much money you spend on advertising, and what media you use to promote them...

Yes - PAINFULLYFIT has done OK in sales but through word of mouth or partner fitness lists. FB Ads unfortunately are like playing the "SLOT" machines for me lately but ONLY because I still have no idea how to use them.

Try a JV or something with a FB Ads pro. I was thinking of using one for our "NEW" spring design.

    OK, Cheers, Lance

Yes, I had about 2K to "Play" with FB Ads and the sales were very low. Skeptical about FB verses Adwords.

4K is quite a bit to gamble on FB Ads. You must know what you are doing. (Where to reach your target market)

Spending 4K on ads to gross 5-6K does not sound like the reward is worth the risk to me.

      Positive ROI is Positive ROI.

Dude did around 120% for that campaign. I agree he could probably sell higher ticket items and earn more, but you won't go broke with a positive return.

that's 50% ROI..... you don't throw away that. That's the issue, people have it in their head that they want 200%+ ROI's and they wont come just like that. If I can make $1000 by spending $10K daily then i'll do it, that's $1000 a day, don't get caught up on ROI!

I used Teespring 6 months ago and run 3 campaigns. I just had 1 successful campaigns that only bring me 50% ROI.

Teespring is not really my thing. And, I have not really heard any recent news of anyone earning big with that.

You would have to know what exact designs sell, otherwise you would lose the 2K investment. I'd guess multiple Niches, not just 1. Because if you can tap into multiple Niches, then you can take a chunk of change from each one. But you need to know exactly what designs sell and where to put your 2K.

When I do my campaigns I aim for a 150-200% ROI for every dollar I spend.

Right now I do about 10K gross profit with about 6-8K net profit a month. But that's just me doing it on the side.

At the end of February I aim to go at it full time and at the rate I'm going I should break 15K net profit a month by the end of March.

I'm not saying this to wave my @#$! around. I'm saying to reinforce how profitble the shirt business can be. And right now it's still in its infancy. So I'm pretty stoked to be a part of it.

      As for your other question:

It's really up to you on what you want to promote and what I've said before on here as well as to every student I take on is, "Start with a niche you're PASSIONATE about."

You know what the customers want that way and you're already inside your "prefect prospect's head".

I was very bitter toward FB ads until I started understanding them. Now I know if a shirt campaign is a winner or loser typically after 10 to 20 bucks spent.

Could you elaborate a bit more please about what you did with face book to make the ads more successful. Seems to me that there are not a lot of options in FB ads to target a exact market. I have tried with FB ads and Tee spring but not even a sale.

The key is to not be too broad.

For example let's say you were targeting people who like "Game of Thrones".

Well, targeting people who are interested in Game of Thrones is going to give you over a million people.

          That's way too broad.

In fact, it's a terrible audience because you're targeting people who are interested in it.

This would be people who are passionate AND not so passionate.

To be successful, you need to narrow down your audience. So in this example, maybe the writer of the book. The characters in the show. Etc.

          Make sense?

There were several courses I studied, but it ultimately came from trial and error.

          And Nicoli,

As for audience intersect, I don't think that's a dodgy tool at all.

I don't use it for everything, but it's certainly a helpful tool. Besides, if Teespring endorses I can't see it being a bad thing.

Now if we start getting into UID/Email scraping, then yeah. That's a whole different ball game. lol

It's not approved by Facebook, and unless Facebook announce that it is, I still class it as dodgy when using it to create ads

I think the sales from Teespring is going down in general since most of the niches are already saturated. So the best thing to do now is to find a new niche that has never been touched.

We are still kicking ass on Teespring. We don't use these dodgy tools such as audience intersect either.
